The plug and play feature of cloud connect. Using the publishing tool is easy. Connecting and setup of the device are pleasure can be done by a person with limited technical knowledge. The screen layout is easy to create with the predefined templets, feature-rich media content. Integration with other apps like youtube and RSS feeds is simple. Tracking of content is made very easy you can see when a device is offline and track content display time. Remote device management is a plus. Easy to schedule content. Comunity sharing of devices. Customer service is 5 star.
The product is expensive in South Africa. You can only Publish to a Screenscape device. Some competitors allow you to publish to other media players or Apple on Android devices. You can only publish content in Landscape and not portrait mode. Some templates are a bit restrictive. Please add portrait mode and Apple and android Device support in future versions. Further, there is not much that I can complain about.
Very easy to deploy and configure your screens and get your content to display. The device is free on contract.
Easy to put your message across and create adverts.
Can use any TV with an HDMI connection. No dedicated TV needed. The clients can install and configure devices on their own without too much technical skill. The device is free on a contract no CAPEX required.
We've been using Screenscape for over 6 years. It has been an integral part of our in house marketing strategy to communicate programs and updates to our members. It is simple but effective; an excellent value for the money.
We have had some technical issues in the past with using video but were able to do some easy fixes that corrected the problem. There really isn't much to dislike about Screenscape.
We found that it is bets to intersperse video with still images and use branded images. We really like being able to control it totally in-house.
We are able to use Screenscape not only to communicate up-to-the- moment program updates and information but also utilize it as a benefit for major donors in our Community Builder program, which at its highest level provides supporters with ads space on our lobby monitor.
The ease of posting messages in buildings all over our campus.
The end date is a year out, so every time I set a date on a message, I have to back the calendar up a year.
Consistent messaging across campus, events publicized
Quality, ease of use, and price. Plus the response time when I email someone.
The flash drive style in the beginning was much easier and hassle free, the newer equipment requires an outlet and presents a problem when a tv is on a wall.
Getting messages to our members in our lobby, and recognizing our front line staff during the pandemic when members were not permitted in the building.
Ease of use, smooth connectivity, support. The devices are easy to setup.
Wifi has to be good! Otherwise all good.
I recommend using mid to high quality JPEGs as your upload of choice. I find their compression mode perfect for upload, and they maintain a high quality that looks great on the screens. GIFs are okay, too, but I find they come out a lot more choppy - especially if you're using larger, HD screens like the ones I use.
I'd also recommend familiarizing yourself with the scheduling feature! It's incredibly useful. It's much easier to set up a large amount of content in advance, and have it automatically begin and end the sharing of that content than it is to have to manually start and end each individual item.
Wifi is also a big must for ScreenScape! I use ScreenScape on 5 different screens in 5 different parts of my Club - all with different wifi sources. So it can be tricky. But the stronger the wifi, the better the connection, the quicker the updates, and the higher the quality - especially if you'll be using video.
Wifi boosters are a great tool for this - you can extend your wifi in the areas you want your screens in without having to add an entirely new router!
Communicating with my Membership is easy via the 5 screens on site that I connect to via ScreenScape. It allows me to easily tailor my content to each screen strategically.
Screenscape is easy to use, and a good value for the price. Templates are abundant to use as starting points. Customer service is easy to reach when you get stuck.
Some editing functionality is missing from the dashboard, as well as some features for incorporating an Instagram feed.
We found this to be really easy for a small business with limited internal staff to still set up and manage with the help of Screenscape customer service. We recently switched from their old version to the new dashboard that was similarly easy.
We were looking for a simple, affordable solution to our lobby signage. We have two devices on two screens that I am able update remotely and rather simply.
Ease of use but the BIG PLUS is feedback from our members. We've installed five screens in our fitness complex. Our members consistently report that they love the rotating screens featuring upcoming events and programs—they feel like they are always in the know. And we've seen the results of increased participation!
Nothing to report at this time. None known.
Play with all of the templates to determine the best way to get your message out there.
Keeping our members in the know. Greater participation and fewer member questions with our front desk staff.
The insightful tips and videos are great for customers to learn about their vehicles.
The video clips repeat too often. (about every hour), which is fine for most customers, but for the employees in the same room it becomes an annoyance.
Screen scape helps to sell products to customers
It is incredibly intuitive and straightforward to learn. I do not have a background in IT or design, but I have been putting together impressive content for our screens from the first week of using it.
I would like to somehow be alerted when something isn't quite right, such as recently when my playlist of media was having trouble loading a link from outside ScreenScape. I only found out when I spotted it on the screen firsthand. It would be neat if I could see from my browser window what was airing on the screen at that exact moment.
Seriously, give it a try. The cost is easily more than worth the immediate benefit, especially considering the very minimal labor commitment on the part of you or your employee.
Before ScreenScape, our antiquated bulletin boards with push pins were cluttered and barely maintained. The irrelevant things that remained posted on them caused people to automatically disregard the boards entirely. Now, ScreenScape makes it simple to create and schedule info without having to remember later to pull anything down. As an added bonus, their news and humor content keep people wanting to look and see what's new.

It's ease to create content from templates and to import content created from other sources, such as video content.

It's current ability to interface with the internet to automate updates, although it is improving all the time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider the objective of the digital signage, determine the desired content to be included to achieve the objective, determine who will develop this content, then consult with ScreenScape's team to walk you through how your needs can most efficiently be met. Much better to have these things identified to then truly evaluate the quality of the platform and support staff at ScreenScape.
