It is VERY easy to use and makes recording a screencast a breeze! I use it with my team all the time!

I wish the free storage was slightly larger, but that's a selfish need!

I love how easy and fast it is to record demo product videos for my clients. It's easy to turn these videos into GIFs which can be embedded in Slack/email.

It is necessary to purchase a license if you're using it daily.

We need to communicate effectively, demonstrate, and troubleshoot with clients. Screencastify helps us do that more effectively and quickly.

Screencastify is an easy-to-use application for screen recording, annotation, and sharing. It's a lightweight chrome browser extension that works directly within the browser. It has an efficient auto-save feature that saves the recorded videos to Google Drive and allows for easy sharing to Google Classroom.

There’s almost nothing that I dislike about Screencastify, but it would be great if the videos had more interactive capabilities, question types, and advanced branching features.

Screencastify helps me record my screen and create video tutorials on the go to provide teammates and clients with short how-to videos regarding new software features or learning management systems updates. Also, it helps me insert interactive quizzes into my videos to ensure everything is clear and understood.

1. Screencastify is very easy to use in terms of recording and editing the video.

2. It provides good quality video recordings.

3. It stores all the recordings of the past as well so whenever needed we can access them.

There are not many things that I dislike about Screencastify but there can be a few improvements like it should allow us to record the video of long duration as well. Currently, it allows us to record the 5 minutes video only.

There are a lot of benefits of Screencastify :

1. It generates the google drive link by itself once we stop the recording.

2. It is very easy to copy the drive link and share it with anyone you want.

3. It has the best editing features.

There are very few things I dislike about Screencastify but one thing is that it has some time limit in the unpaid version to record the screen and the editing feature can also be improved.

1. Screencastify resolved the big problem because it provides the best screen recording experience for us. It automatically generates the link which we can share with our colleagues in the organization.

2. We are using Screencastify to record the bugs and share the link directly with the developer which saves a lot of effort and time.

I love the Chrome Plug In. Makes it super easy to start a quick recording without having to open multiple applications. I love how I can do a brisk walkthrough of an application and share it with an enduser without having to leave the screen

The only dislike is in the free version, you are limited to 5-minute recordings

Providing end-users with a visual when troubleshooting issues has been super helpful. When I need to capture proof of an error message and the steps I took to duplicate, it makes it very easy to provide examples when submitting help tickets to our vendors.

Screencastify is simple enough that everyone I work with can figure it out, and unlike several other lightweight solutions, it allows editing of what has been recorded. It's still pretty basic but has enough more tools that everyone chooses it unless they need something very advanced and expensive.

It's not super fancy, but that's not a dislike, really.

Also, I use the free version, so I don't like the limit, but that's because I'm cheap. :)

No real dislikes to be fair here.

We used built-in to the computer screen recording, and it was too basic. This enables just a little more and has included editing making it so much more powerful and usable for essential recordings.

Screencastify is one of those tools that gives you a lot of options when used. You get a lot with the free version. You can record your screen, add in a Webcam image of yourself, do some minor editing, and everything is saved directly to your Google Drive. With the paid version you can even get a bigger time limit and Screencastify edit, which allows you to edit your recording, add titles/text, insert images, etc. When your all done you simply share the link or dinwload the file.

Nothing! This has been one of those tools that you need to use in education. As a Chrome extension, it is simple to install and use anywhere in the web. The only catch is you get 5 total recording minutes with the free version but if you pay for it then you can get unlimited time.

Really worth a look and a school based license is really well priced for Education purposes.

Before Covid, Schools have been trying to flip learning and have students learn more before coming Tinton class so that when in class, the teacher can spend more time gping into depth, or delivering hands-on activities. Screencastify has helped that. Teachers can create learning videos on any topic they want, have an entire presentation in the background along with their FaceTime camera so students can see the teacher and easily share the link to it or post it in a doc. But teachers can also do how-to or guided tutorials. Now with Covid, teachers need a way to help those students that are learning virtually and this is a great way to personalize it for those students. Plus, students can use Screencastify to "present" wherever they are.

I like that I can create short videos, including GIFs, for informational purposes

I wish that the free version allowed more minutes of recording.

Screencastify allows me the opportunity to create quick informative videos to help train staff on specific topics.

I like that I can record videos in many different ways, such as record screen only, record screen with video embedded, and record from the camera only. I also enjoy Screencastify's video editor; I can do it all in one place.

I would appreciate it if I could edit videos more in-depth with their video editing tool. I can only trim, crop, and add minimal text to my videos; I cannot add sounds.

Screencastify is user-friendly.

Screencastify allowed me to visually show parents, students and families any information I needed to communicate with them. It allowed me to explain things with ease.
