"Great LMS platform"
What do you like best about Scholar LMS?

Good price for what it can do. I like how customizable it is as well. UI for learners is pretty easy.

What do you dislike about Scholar LMS?

Some UI issues in terms of getting around and knowing how to do certain things. It took a bit of time, but for the most part, it is pretty easy to navigate and figure out with some time.

What problems is Scholar LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

Educating multiple people at the same time has been much easier with this LMS system. It is pretty affordable for what it can do:)

"Cheap, relatively easy, a little clunky"
What do you like best about Scholar LMS?

It is pretty full-featured, leveraging Moodle under the covers.

I'm a non-technical user trying to create a customer education and certification program. It seems to be working for what we need.

It supports lots of file types, including videos. I have created quizzes, set up pre-requisites.

You can create a branded landing page and have access to data about those who register for the course and their progress.

What do you dislike about Scholar LMS?

It's not super fast. Each click through a navigation link or to save something takes a few seconds.

The UI is fine but not overly intuitive. I find that I have a fair amount of trial and error when clicking on things to see how they are represented.

I would like it to be easier to see the course from a non-admin user.

I would like to be able to upload larger files. The 120MB limit on a video is pretty short. We have had to break videos up to get them to fit (part 1, part 2, etc.). The most frustrating part of this was that there was no warning that my file was too big to load. It simply acted like it was loading and then stalled. I would have to reload the site. Only through support did I learn about the limitation.

Now that I know how to navigate and modify things, it is getting easier, but I still see behaviors that I didn't expect when I do user acceptance testing.

In order to get to help, I find I need to open another window in incognito mode to get to the docs. There's probably an easier way, but again, this goes to the lack of intuitiveness.

Recommendations to others considering Scholar LMS:

If your project is simple or if you are creating a customer training program, consider using something easier with less function. The abundance of choices and configuration meant more time to do simple things.

What problems is Scholar LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

Creating a customer learning program on a branded page.

We hope to educate our customers faster so that they can be productive faster, get more value, and increase usage of our platform.
