The training and the integration could have been easier. Adoption is always a huge concern not only to us but across any organization. We are still overall happy with the process.
Revenue cloud solved many issues but most importantly it solves for revenue management and pipeline management. There were siloed data sets and systems that did not communicate.
The ease to bundle products and write rules around the product handling is very helpful in salesforce cpq. The quote document generation and the automation of renewals is very helpful for us.

It can be a long process that must be well done in order to not having to go back each time something is not working right. I think it could be a little less automated for the first time implementating this solution in order to see the process in action.

instantly brings all your sales related objects in billing together. I have configured railcars,SAAS products, hardware, professional services, you name it I've done it with revenue cloud. We have completely modernized our billing, invoicing and found revenue leakage, do the discounts and concessions with the tools, out of the box in revenue cloud. I tell people all the time if you're salesforce, admin's are good then revenue cloud is easy to learn because it's still just Salesforce . Why would you go buy another tool for them to learn ? The learning curve for your front line sales teams is also very short because they already know Salesforce .
it is very heavy of a change management process, but the tool is greet. You just have to have the change management process and training lines up as you roll it out.
we have solved so many automation issues around revenue leakage, deal approvals, billing and invoicing with the tool kit. We were also able to update our pricing matrix with reporting data straight out of revenue cloud, because again it's just Salesforce objects.
Salesforce CPQ has transformed the way we do business with our customers with extremely dynamic use cases and ease of use from an Admin perspective. It has been so great to support business changes quickly and effectively without too much devops involvement.
Alot of the standard sfdc is not compatible and has to be managed differently and cant be done with change sets.
Standardizing product skus and rules and complex bulk pricing as well as discounting that otherwise was managed on a spreadsheet. It has been so easy to empowering as an Admin to respond to these needs quickly for management.

I love the facts that it is easy to learn and use. Within an account you can change the multiple orders. You can see what materials has been invoiced properly. Great forecasting feature as well!
