I like how RO Writer has made the software super user friendly.

When downloading RO Writer some minor issues have occured but they were quickly solved by the awesome support team and Holly!

RO Writer is helping us organize a lot of customer repair and van sale data while delivering reports to show our business progress as a whole.

RO Writer helps our shop with inventory, invoicing and working at an efficient rate.

Hard to say that this is a "dislike," but the system has so much to offer we have a tough time using every part of it.

We have great invoicing and wonderful inventory reports.

Scheduling of customers is a great feature of the product.

Ease of use, Navigation, Customer support

Navigation is easy but sometimes, it require un-necessary steps to reach to a function which could be shorten.

Pricing and invoicing. It integrates well with existing system and works for you.

I like that it handled data migration from Mitchel1 easily. There was no loss of customer and repair data. I was able to continue accurate KPI reporting and marketing.

At this point, R.O. Writer is bulky to manage as I need an IT person on retainer to handle my in-shop database. There are many newer to market cloud-based shop management systems that run lean, have more features and are accessible from anywhere with an internet connection.

R.O. Writer managed my customer, vehicle and repair data. Allowed me to estimate and track repairs. Interface with parts houses to build quotes and repair orders.

This is a tough one to answer. It doesn't crash too often and it doesn't randomly delete data but like once a year I guess?

This is going to be a big list. It crashes, its an access database, it doesn't work across different operating systems so it's PC only, it won't integrate with other tools because it is an access database. It's interface is outdated and reporting is incredibly limited. You can't dive into data and there isn't a way to to search for customers based on criteria for sales data, only last name, vin or RO number. Support is slow, almost everything has to be escalated to tier 2, it isn't designed to work with most modern security and software solutions, so if you have a server you're going to spend a lot of money on your IT guy.

I would recommend looking at cloud based more modern software for your shop. You'll be able to use tablets, access data from anywhere and integrate with other tools that are developed more easily and grow your business easier.

RO Writer serves as our customer database, point of sale, parts management and time management for employees.

There is ZERO upside to RO Writer. They over bill and then tell you they have not. They have stolen $1500 from our company!

Billing department is worthless. They are thieves! Sales Dept. wont help at all, neither will the tech dept.

They are all thieves and stick together.

Tech support, sales, and billing departments are all worthless. They are sticking together with the company over bill practices an stealing $1500.
