Inaccurate Data on Certain Securities, Difficulty Entering Client Portfolios, Lack of Support for Certain Asset Classes, Limited Functionality in Portfolio Comparison Tools
Riskalyze is a popular tool for financial advisors, offering a straightforward way to assess client risk tolerance and present investment plans. While praised for its user-friendly interface, simplicity, and ability to quantify risk, some users find the pricing high and have experienced challenges with data input and customer service. Concerns include contract cancellation processes, outdated data, and slow platform performance. Overall, Riskalyze is a valuable tool for those looking to enhance client engagement and communication around risk tolerance, though its effectiveness depends on its proper use and addressing potential drawbacks.

Designing portfolios to match risk scores.
The risk number questionnaire is phenomenal.
Does not allow for shared access to retirement plans.
It helps assess a client's current portfolio risk score and ensure their desired risk score is aligned with their portfolio.
It also scorecards our model portfolios so they fit a desired risk target and GPA score.
I love that I can easily walk a client through the current risk of their portfolio and the recommended changes. The stress-test feature is also very useful. The best aspect for me is the rebalancing. It is easy to use their models, create your own, and trade on your preferred platform. It saves valuable time. I have been an early adopter and it would take quite a bit for me to look at another resource. The customer support is efficient and effective as well.
Sometimes it feels like walking through the risk tolerance exercise with clients is a little repetitive. I try to guide them through the process but it can seem like an optometrist appointment. Which is better? Lens 1 or 2?
The time saved with the rebalancing tool is an incredible benefit.
First and foremost, it's a great risk analysis tool. It helps clients understand portfolio risk and normal performance ranges during market volatility.
Additionally, the portfolio analytics, statistics, stress tests, research functionality and more are extremely helpful and robust.
Can't think of much that doesn't work well, and they're always looking to add more functionality and improve the software.
Helps me review portfolios and align them with the client's goals and objectives.
Easy to use. Quick to set up new clients & prospects. Folks love the visual retirement map illustrations and abilty to see how changing variables effects the long-term picture real-time.
It is getting a little pricey. We'll have to try and use it more to justify the increasing expense.
Risk analysis, stress testing and retirement mapping. Clients appreciate all three.
It helps take the complex and break it down into the simple (risk score) to be able to help clients understand their investments.
Been using this product for sometime and don't have anything I dislike about it. Great product and great people!
Helping me communicate to my clients the overall risk of their portfolio in simplistic terms and then taking it further to help them understand what that risk actually means to them in a variety of situations.
I love Nitrogen's holistic approach to working with clients. Investment analysis, retirement planning, client check-ins, and many other features make a long list of things I love about the software. It is a requirement that we run client information through Nitrogen when we begin our client onboarding process.
The ONLY thing I can say I dislike about Nitrogen is that some individual bond positions or CD holdings of clients can take some time to input. I have done some training with their staff to remedy the friction point and they were very helpful to make me a better user of the software!
Nitrogen is solving the problem of taking the subjectivity out of risk tolerance when understanding what clients want. It also serves as a great compliance check as clients have different opinions of what their risk tolerance is. Nitrogen also creates a one-stop-shop in reviewing a client’s FULL investment portfolio. We always aggregate all holdings for a clear picture when giving financial advice to clients.
I like the simplicity and yet the complexity of how a Risk Score is calculated and utilized to assist clients in understanding their current and ideal risk.
While I understand the pricing and value compared to competitors, it is a bit pricey.
It is assisting me in aiding my clients with the appropriate amounts of risk for their situaton. It saves me time and expresses quickly what I believe helps clients make wiser decisions.
Super easy to use- allows me to analyze and grade prospects and clients portfolios. I use it with all my clients. It changes the conversation from just performance and asset allocation and helps me better explain to clients the risk they are taking.
It is a little slow sometimes. I wish it would process faster.
Client conversations have changed or at least broadened. This software allows me to have in depth conversations with clients about risk and their portfolios. It also allows me to analyze prospects and clients portfolios to win and retain business.
Easily creates understandable client/prospect presentations.
Great tool in making informed data driven choices for portfolio positions.
Some features load really slowly, not helpful in fixing the issue.
Data driven approach to portfolio management

Before using Nitrogen, clients did not understand that markets have two sides that go up and down. This tool is well thought out and allows clients to have a quick view of their portfolio versus their risk profile. One of the functions that has protected us the most as an investment advisory firm is that the client signs an investment policy where everything is clearly explained. They have an excelent.
In addition to this, they have a wonderful customer service team.
They did a new look and feel update a while ago, which I don't love. But since this company listens to the customer's opinion, they left the previous version for those of us who felt more comfortable with what was there.
It allows us to show the client how their portfolio balance would move in normal situations. This allows the client to understand the variations that the portfolio may have in a rational way and when times of stress come, achieve greater calm.
