revVana is an incredibly powerful and nimble revenue forecasting tool for Salesforce
What do you like best about revVana Plan?
revVana is a lightweight yet powerful extension of Salesforce that pairs particularly well with Salesforce CPQ. It allowed me to forecast not only my expected revenue on closed deals, but model out my consultants' expected utilization in a cheaper and easier way than with a tool like FinancialForce.
What do you dislike about revVana Plan?
One of its best features is also a drawback, and that is its flexbility. revVana gives the ability to split and/or roll up revenue forecasting by region, team, product, business unit, etc. It's critical to find a consulting team knowledgable in revVana best practices to ensure you don't over-engineer.
What problems is revVana Plan solving and how is that benefiting you?
revVana helps me solve for easier revenue forecasting by splitting my expected revenue into a plan for each of my opportunity products across the expected length of the consulting engagement. Similarly, it helps me view the total consultant utilization across plans so that I can better anticipate volumes of hours required to complete projects and not over- or under-use my consultants' availability.

Wave6 uses revVana Plan to estimate and forecast its professional services projects
What do you like best about revVana Plan?
Wave6 uses revVana plan to help automate our pre-sales process from estimation to resourcing and as importantly takes advantage of the native forecasting capabilites in Plan to forecast and project revenue over time from those inital plans. This has been a game changer for us and has eliminated a highly manual process allowing us to streamline and expand usage of Salesforce within our pre-sales and project governance processes.
What do you dislike about revVana Plan?
Like any software, understanding what revVana does well is important. It is very good at laying out schedules of people, products and revenue in the context of an overall bookings/revenue forecast. It is not meant to replace demand planning but to augment it by showing where spikes could lead to capacity issues.
What problems is revVana Plan solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solution estimation, resource planning, bookings and revenue forecasting - thse are the areas that revVana Plan is helping us automate and streamline. We are seeing real improvement in turn around times of our proposals and client interactions.

What do you like best about revVana Plan?
As a service business with several different contracting scenarios and cadences to our revenue recognition, it was easy to set up the plans to match at contract signing and then adapt to actuals as the team was able to execute the contract. It worked seamlessly with our dashboards and it is invaulable to the team in projecting revenues and cash flow.
What do you dislike about revVana Plan?
The team at revVana was a valuable resource to our inhouse team in developing the plans.
Recommendations to others considering revVana Plan?
We have been using for about a year now and have had to make a few additions based on our business. Editing the plans is not as user friendly so our in house SF team can do it---but not as easy for the regular SF user, which is only a downside for making quick edits---but great for internal controls!
What problems is revVana Plan solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were manually calculating revenue forecasts in Excel and constantly adjusting. C-suite was forced to ask the accountant for the forecast as it was easily accesssible to them. With revVana we were able to incorporate the data in our SF dashboards and everyone know where the revenue was stood at any given point in time.
