"Great product and wonderful customer service"
What do you like best about Reviewr?

The platform is user friendly and the staff is amazing. They are always available to answer questions and help brainstorm ways to make the awarding process better. Our users also receive great customer service from the Reviewr staff when they are issues. Tickets that are submitted for assistance by users are saved and reviewed with me each year to help improve the process. My Reviewer project managers provides training (video and live) for the new members of my selection committee each year. I am able to make some modifications, open/close the platform for nominations and selection committee easily, and generate automated emails to nominators. After many years of paper forms, CDs, and jump drives, I love having an internet based platform for our awards program. It's accessible to everyone anywhere there is an internet connection. I can leave in platform notes on nominations for my selection committee as monitor their progress in scoring. Scoring and reporting of scores make my job much easier and less time consuming.

What do you dislike about Reviewr?

The only downside to the platform is users don't read through instructions on the site or our website before beginning their nominations.

Recommendations to others considering Reviewr:

If you are looking to move to an online system, this is a platform you should seriously consider! The team works with you to customize the forms you need, they offer suggestions to strengthen your process, and answer questions quickly. Users and scorers have been very happy with our process now that it is online only.

What problems is Reviewr solving and how is that benefiting you?

The amount of time spent on collecting nomination packets, redistributing packets to the selection committee, and tabulating final scores in Excel. These things are negated as all the information for nominations goes to the selection committee complete and scores are tabulate automatically. The human error in the process factor has significantly been reduced. The time spent working administratively on our awards program has been drastically reduced!

I can sort by my reviewers and know which ones haven't finished judging

What do you dislike about Reviewr?

When I do something wrong, it doesn't always let me know exactly what I did wrong depending on what I am doing exactly

You can't go wrong. The support staff is fabulous and can get you were you want to be with ease.

I can have my reviewers score their grant requests and I can sort by score so I know which grant requests are eligible to receive funds

"Reviewr is critical to our marquee awards program success."
What do you like best about Reviewr?

We have been using Reviewr for five years now and the platform and client success team together are one of the most important parts of our large awards programs. We use the platform for the entire application, evaluation, scoring, live presentations/interviews, and data/images/resources collection process. There are so many moving parts and functions that used to be handled by several software apps and manual processes. Having them all in one place with one portal and one super reliable and responsive support expert has saved us thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours.

What do you dislike about Reviewr?

I'd love to see some user interface and design upgrades at some point. Some of the back end is too complex for me and I'm not sure of what I'm doing sometimes, but the support is so good that doing it on my own if often unnecessary.

Recommendations to others considering Reviewr:

We really like Reviewr and recommend it for any awards program.

What problems is Reviewr solving and how is that benefiting you?

Reviewr pretty much streamlined every process we have for our awards programs. The judges really appreciate how easy it is to use. We appreciate that we no longer have to do all of the calculations to determine the finalists or winners. We used to have to build or rebuild everything every year and spend months just getting ready to accept nominations and applications. Now it happens in days or just hours with just a few annual updates, etc. We've doubled our volume of nominations and applications since we started using Reviewr.

What do you like best about Reviewr?

Even my new volunteers can figure out the judges section and they hardly ever ask me for help. The whole system streamlined our processes and made it easy for me to run reports.

What do you dislike about Reviewr?

I'd like more controls over setting up new events--like creating a Constant Contact newsletter. If more features were drag and drop there would be less back and forth between me and the Reviewr staff.

Recommendations to others considering Reviewr:

There are definitely other tools like Reviewr out there, but this one worked for our smaller Foundation. Other tools I've researched were built for large college advancement offices with hundreds of scholarships and they wanted to charge us as such.

What problems is Reviewr solving and how is that benefiting you?

I no longer have to spend an entire day photocopying applications or receive scores from judges only to find their Excel spreadsheet is empty---true story! Easy for teachers to apply for our grants, easy for students to apply for our scholarship, easy for judges and easy for me. Win!

What do you like best about Reviewr?

Flexibility - platform is highly customizable and allows me to to have what I need in the application, evaluation, etc.

What do you dislike about Reviewr?

Navigating can be a bit challenging until you learn where to go to find things. Not all areas can be updated by me, the admin, but the support staff at Reviewr is really responsive and tweaks things that I ask for quickly.

What problems is Reviewr solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our awards program used to be completely in-person, reviewing hard copy materials. Using Reviewr allowed us to go virtual for the submission process and the judging. No traveling required.

"Great software for programs with applications"
What do you like best about Reviewr?

Once you learn the terminology and how to operate the software as an admin it is fairly easy to use. I am able to figure out who has submitted their application for our event, when they submitted it and if they included all of the items requested. The downloadable excel document makes it easy to compile information about applicants and make it shareable with our team. We run an international application process and we were able to adapt Reviewr to work for applicants from around the world.

What do you dislike about Reviewr?

There were times when there were features that we needed weren't available, but Reviewr was good about offering solutions and has worked to add new features as a result. Changes to the application can sometimes take longer than desired as it requires edits on the back end that we do not have access to as admins.

Recommendations to others considering Reviewr:

Setup a pre-call with them to discuss your needs. Be clear in your communications and clear about what you need.

What problems is Reviewr solving and how is that benefiting you?

Made our application process much smoother (we used a combination of Excel and PDF in the past). Helped us reach more applications over the course of the three years we've been using it. Keeps all information in one place.

Wish it had more robust reporting. There's no way to see if an assigned judged open their invitation email or it bounced.
