This app is very easy to use highly user-friendly. I was in doubt at my first use but when I started to use it everything was easy to go and now I do not need any other app or software.
Not much support is available but once you get to use it you can get a hang of the things around. I had to do some research when starting to you it that was a bit downside.
Beforehand I had to email each and every customer but now with retention science everything is hands-on and sorted out. Now sending emails is rather fun than a hassle.
We've been working with Retention Science for about 2 years now, after Mailchimp and Klaviyo. We vastly prefer Retention Science. Our account manager relationship has been extremely helpful for our small team and through that relationship we have also been able to gain access to new features while they are still in beta mode. It has been great to partner with RS to test new innovations like more detailed segmentation and more personalized automation flows.
We have had some account manager turnover - but just having a real account manager who can show the detailed analytics and trends and provide thoughtful recommendations is so far above the offerings from competitors that I wouldn't necessarily even call this a "dislike."
We have been most interested in the ability to segment different customer groups, which Retention Science provides in many different ways, through their core automated flows and the more advanced Paths feature. Segmenting in this way has increased our conversion rate and our engagement rates. Even our open rates have gone up as we are only sending customers the content that they need. The help the RS team has provided in strategy has saved our small team countless hours as well.
As stated above, they have amazing communication; and great for medium-sized businesses. Their AI software Cortex is very interesting and allows efficient work to be done.
Sometimes it glitches, but one of the best marketing software.

Retention Science has helped our email program work smarter for us rather than harder. Smart segmentation of our audience, as well as trigger emails, has helped us target the best audiences at the best times. Retention Science also has a fantastic support system from customer support managers to their tech support Resci is there to answer questions and guide decisions.
With all the trigger emails, it did take extra effort on our creative team's bandwidth to get the program up and running.
We are solving targeting the right email users at the right time. Extra segmentation capabilities have also helped us stay engaged with the right customers at the right time.
Very easy to work with and collaborate with. We are constantly blown away by how willing they are to help us when we are stuck on something, need help with a project or just want to bounce our own ideas off of them. They continue to update their products and offerings to stay up to date on options to market to our customers.
They are more expensive than we had been using with mailchimp but we immediately saw the benefit once we got it going. The start up is a little more difficult than mailchimp but it's because of all of the stages there. Luckily the team was there to help us throughout the process.
We have leveraged their email platform and AI automation to reach our customers more frequently and with subjects that they're interested in. We have developed an entire lifecycle of email marketing that is working well. We are seeing great ROI on our spend and can test our subjects/emails and get real time updates to help us react quickly.
The platform has depth and does what is represented; intelligent browse, customer behavior and email analysis and communication to customers based on this analysis.

I used Retention Science's platform for 2 years as a supplemental tool to my company's ESP at the time. First off, I have to say they provided excellent client service and had the quickest response/turn around time out of any of the 3rd party marketing companies I've used.
Their tool was easy to implement and had a great User Interface. One of my favorite aspects about the tool was Offer Optimization. I was able to send larger discounts to customer's who were less likely to buy and send lower discounts to customers who were most likely to purchase. They were able to determine purchase likelihood through their tool and I could send multiple variations of an email in one swoop.
Overall, I have very few complaints about the tool. When I was using them I wanted some better data integration between them and my ESP, but that was very minimal.
Plus for any real complaints I had about the tool, Retention Science was quick to offer options and in multiple cases development new aspects into their tool at my request. Very few companies do this and the attention they provided my company helped us excel greatly.
The offer optimization feature was the most beneficial for me, so it's definitely worth considering when thinking about a return on investment. We were able to maximize our demand while protecting our profit margin by offering small discounts to likely purchasers and big discounts to unlikely purchasers.
Also consider the client assistance when comparing other companies. Retention Science was extremely helpful and quickly available when I came to them with emergency issues.

There are a lot of glitches and bugs also experienced while using this software on daily basis, this makes the processing of the software slightly delayed and slowed down the processing.
Definetely the best and helping software for our work of sending emails and templates with automation and quick tools. Weare getting on the regular updates and follow ups, increased my customers numer and improved customer communication and interacting capabilties.
Using Retention Science has really helped us make a major shift in how we approach email marketing by focusing on customer lifecycle as opposed to just marketing towards a path to purchase. The automated email platform has been extremely helpful for us in understanding the path to purchase and focusing on providing better value to our customers by using multiple strategies at different stages of the customer lifecycle.
Integrations are limited for the purpose of orchestrating marketing campaigns across platforms using different tools. I'd like the ability to integrate with our SMS vendor to send emails or SMS messages at different stages or triggers. Not having the ability to add custom fields is also a pretty hard pill to swallow after coming from Drip where we could add almost any data to customer profiles.
Improving email marketing conversion rate and number of sends by keeping customers in an automated email cycle. Improving our customer nurture processes and giving us better results when customers are indicating that they're ready to buy.
