They have a 24/7 service support centre that is not automated and has fantastic response times. The platform is simple to use anyway, but knowing me AND the tenants have access to the support centre is a huge weight off of my shoulders.
We had an issue with listing our apartments on Zillow and trulia through rent redi. There seemed to be a disconnect between rent redi and these websites that we were unable to resolve and resorted to listing our apartments directly on these websites above. Other than that I am very happy with rent redi and have recommended it to several other landlords and real estate professionals.
Having to balance all the plates that are involved in managing a property
I think that this is a great software for managing long term rentals! I especially like the price. If you get a BiggerPockets pro membership RentRedi is free, and most other management softwares cost about as much or more as a BP pro membership so it is great value.
It is a little confusing when you are first getting started. I think it would be great to have some instructional videos that you lead people to when they are setting up an account.
RentRedi helps me automate my tenant's payments, remind them about payments, keep track of income, and manage applicants and background checks easily. I am really enjoying the features and haven't even fully explored them yet.
The customer service technicians help to answer any questions you may have about getting everything set up and becoming more familiar with the application. I researched MANY companies that allow us to offer electronic funds acceptance for our tenants. I have tried some that are absolutely impossible to get the amount of houses we manage input to their system. RentRedi is very user-friendly.
I do wish we were copied onto everything sent to the tenants or had access to see what they see. When they have questions, they call me. Of course, I have no idea what the tenant side looks like, just the landlord side. It would be a feature that could help me better take care of the tenants.
Before RentRedi, we were only accepted check or money orders for rental payments. It makes it very inconvenient for our tenants
What I love most about this platform is it's all in one solution for my needs. Being a busy professional managing personal properties, it's incredibly helpful to be able to login to a single platform and track rent, maintenance, and properties all in one user experience.
Right now, nothing! The payment verification was kind of a chore, but not the platforms fault!
Saving me time by automating rental payments and a conviencent platform to track my properties.
Ease of access to invite applicants, track rent payments and multiple properties.
The app errors often and does t necessarily Update as well as the desktop website.
Safe payment portal for myself and my tenant and ease of tracking of all payments.
With the Latchel add on, Rentredi has taken a TON off my plate in managing 4 single family homes from a distance. Tenants arent' blowing up my phone or my email because Latchel handles the maintenance with my preferred vendors, or an alternative if my preferred people can't be reached.
Rent reminders are automated. Late fees are automated. A single portal for maintenance requests, even if you dont get the Latchel add on. I can push notifications to peoples phone about maintenance or really anything without having to find their phone number. And my tenants can pay in many more ways without any issue to me PLUS add a boost to their credit score if they make their rent payments on time through RentRedi.
We went through a application round already and with RentRedi pushing a listing out to a couple different places, the house had an accepted applicant in less than a week. Filtering through preapplications was easy enough once folks actually used RentRedi's preapplication, so make sure you put in the instructions for a listing to use RentRedi's or it defeats the point of having a consolidated platform. Rentredi could do this by default, but its an easy enough adjustment on the user's end.
It did take about 2 months to work out the kinks that the onboarding process should have caught but didnt quite. I think its all sorted now.
More ongoing is the in app lease signing. You can only see the tenant signatures AFTER you cosign as landlord and you cannot place signatures in a specific location to draw tenant's attention to difference spaces. Or include your reqiured disclosures in the lease document upload because you only et one blanket signautre at the end. You also cant have the tenants (or even yourself) insert any informtion into the document after uploading, so make sure everything is in there before you upload. Basically, they are lacking the full cpability of a proper e sig system here despite advertising in app lease signings.
Getting information out of rentredi in FULL or having the ability to backup to a second location still isnt available. So lets hope their servers hold.
It owuld be great if the notifications linked easier to each renter's view or if there was some kind of internal chat system so tenants didnt reply to email notifications from rentredi so much. But again, thats an improvement request, far from a dealbreaker.
I despise when business contacts have my personal information. RentRedi has prevented that from ever needing to be the case again. Plus the automated rent reminders and late fees, no longer have me paying attention to what day it is on the calendar to check the bank account that everything came thorugh.
I love how responsive they are! The website is super easy to use, but in the case you need help, they are there even late at night!!! AMAZING!
Nothing. They are amazing and the website is super user friendly. No complaints here!
It clears up my schedule, by allowing my tenants one place to make payment, submit maintenance, and reach us with any concerns!
It was very easy to get everyone connected and start using RentRedi.
I appreciate the customer support the most. All of my questions have been answered within a few minutes.
I do not have any downsides to my experience at this point.
It allows me to manage my properties and collect payments without constant interaction with my tenants.
Everything is so streamlined. There isn't a ton of fluff that would never get used. It's a straight forward solution for landlords to be hands off of own from afar.
I do wish you could seperate into different portfolios.
Giving renters multiple ways to pay rent is an amazing solution.

I cannot think of anything I dislikie about RentRedi.
I do not have to contact tenant for payment.
