We love Recurly as it is very easy to setup and use. Recurly solves major business needs like dunning in recurring billing, providing account updater services, securely storing payment data and providing analytics around subscriptions.
Being able to break down based on subscription as well as payments. Having a database where everything is clean and easy to navigate is essential to my business, and with over 2,000 subscribers, it can be easy to lose track... not with Recurly, though. :)
My biggest issue with Recurly is how they set up their reports. From time to time, when I try to download a report, it will eliminate critical information that I'm looking at but can't get once it's downloaded. If the report offered a way to include ALL data stored, that would be awesome.

Self-service functionality is definitely lacking. I've also raised the arbitrary dupe transaction window of 8 hours several times to no avail. Often times a users card will decline and they will ask us to reattempt shortly after, but recurly won't make the charge attempt as it thinks it's a duplicate. 8 hours is just too long and greatly impacts our users as they cannot get into our software if a payment is declined.
Easier subscription adoption using Recurly pages for entering payment info for new users. The recurring billing each month allows for little to no touch as our service is intended to be a self-service model.

I like using recurly because it is so easy to use and a beginner-friendly tool. Whenever locating an account and there's no way for us to locate it, we normally message our supervisor through skype, Slack, or google workspace, but sometimes, they won't respond right away. So in order for us to locate a specific account, we would as for their transaction details. We asked for their email address, the last four digits of the card, and the charged amount, and voila the account will appear right away. ALL IN ALL, THE BEST TOOL FOR BILLING AND ORDER PLACING.
what I dislike about this is when the recurly's system is updating. We normally encounter errors, delay in searching a specific account or sometimes we experience some sort of glitch while using the tool.
The main problem that recurly is a big help is whenever we locate a specific order. Sometimes, we have a hard time locating an account using our main tool, but with the help of recurly and its many ways of locating an account, everything is made so easy for us.
