Healthcare Patient Payment Solutions
Easy to use and has a lot of different features. They are constantly developing their software to be more useful to practices.
At this point in time, we do not have any complaints or dislikes.
Providing modern solutions to communicating with patients about their bills, balances, recurring payments, etc.
Rectangle allows our clients and our employees to easily access credit card payments and is very user friendly to work with.
I do not have any dislikes or downsides to Rectangle.

PROCESSING PAYMENTS ON THE SPOT FOR PATIENTS
Once the setup was completed, every single transaction was completed simply and quickly. In my opinion, there is honestly not a more straightforward system for collecting card payments from clients/customers. The one time I've ever experienced a malfunction, it was resolved by the company representatives w/in an hour of using the "contact us"chat feature on their site. I have found every aspect of their software 1000x easier to use than the one integrated into our new EMR system for collecting payments and viewing the financial information gathered.
Using card sliding/chip reading accessories makes it even easier for your front office staff to operate, as the patient payment info uploads into the software seamlessly w/o much info needing to be entered, but it is not necessary to operate. Instead, card information can be entered manually, and the pt's account will be instantly billed. Payment status is provided immediately in a clear manner, so you know right away if a payment method is valid.
Because it is not integrated into any electronic health record program (at least not one we've used), it is not immediately clear which payment applies to which patient. Furthermore - it isn't obvious which of the patient's charges exist and are still outstanding when you view your payment data.
The solution to this is self-evident - you must enter some identifying information on the right side of the screen before charging each payment entered, making it easier to match records for your billing/accounting department later. However, that means there IS an extra step required of staff members at each end of the payment collection process. 1. 1. First, the front office person must enter an account number or appointment code while taking the payment from patients.
2. Followed by now also needing someone from your billing or accounting department to use this identifier and connect the payment to the correct charge in your health records system to have valid working data about what payments were for and who made them to your practice,
Although not difficult, this does mean there are 2 extra steps required that can be streamlined by EHR/EMR's w/ payment collection ability integrated into their program.
However, one could also argue this separation keeps you more aware of what's been done/paid across your clinics. NOt only does this keep you more informed on the ongoing care being done by your practice, but ALSO protects pt privacy - since potential cyber criminals can only gain access to half the information at a time.
Ability to accept card payments both in person and over the phone instead of being limited to only cash and check payments. A simple user interface made a need for separate training so staff can begin applying it, an unnecessary step.
The ease of the use of the terminals makes it super easy for patients

Rectangle Health is efficient with standard charges but also has an area for recurring payments that runs for you on the day you choose! SO HELPFUL!
I wish there were a way to fix a recurring payment plan but the current one instead of starting over.
It's very helpful to be able to take payments multiple ways--in office, online, QR code, and texting!
When it inputs the card information directly into ModMed for me without me having to do it.
I don't like the fact I have to open patients account to be able to for it to input it automatically.

Haven't found anything yet. We love all the features, maybe the ability to auto-post the text to pay a little easier. :)
