Only works when it works...support is lackadaisical

I was really excited to get this product when I first learned of it, but now having used it I don't think it's worth the low subscription cost ($25) I paid for it.  I've used the product for about a month and it's worked a few times...but unfortunately it's worked less than 30% of the time.  Some of the emails I sent didn't register in the ReadNotify dashboard which tracks the emails sent and is supposed to provide status information about them.  Several didn't appear even though I received an email notification that the recipient opened the message.  The emails that did appear on the dashboard mostly just sit there with a "Not yet" status message indicating that the person on the receiving end hasn't opened the email yet.  The thing is, I knew that many that were showing the "not yet" status had been opened because the recipient replied to the email.  So the software's great when it works - it tells you when the email was opened, how long they read it for, and even if the recipient forwarded it and how many times it was forwarded.  But given the low number of emails it actually worked on, it's hot or miss at best.  I contacted ReadNotify Tech Support and received a response 36 hours later but when the recommendation was to "install the new version of the plug-in" which had already been installed, I was left without much help or confidence in the product.  The last response I sent which is now 3 days old hasn't been responded by their tech support person(s) yet.  I'd give the product 5 stars if it worked consistently but unfortunately it hasn't - at least not for me.  As I shared with the support rep I communicated with, so far it's worked on 3 out of 11 emails I've sent.  Not a great track record if you really want to track what happens with the emails you're sending.
