Does everything I need it to do - for free!
It's easy to use and I don't find it any more or less difficult to use than Xero. For a small sole trader like myself, it's perfect as the free version offers all the tools I need.

Robust and versatile accounting system for our small businesses

We have been using Quickfile for various businesses for over 12 years now, after switching over from QuickBooks, which had become too cumbersome and expensive for us at the time.
We like the way Quickfile automates recurring tasks, which reduces the time we have to spend on running our books. The automated bank feeds and the integration of document management are especially of value, as we can store all receipts etc. in one place and connect them to the relevant business transactions.
Quickfile has an active user community, which we have joined as well. If we don't know how to best handle a new business transaction, chances are somebody else has already experienced the same and found a solution.
Would certainly recommend Quickfile to new users, even though there might be a bit of a learning curve.
