It is very good in providing business solution and is a valuable product for complex business and also providing best and cheap posibble solutions. Moreover it is cost efficient.
I dont think that there is much to share about the dislikes of this product but as we know anything in the present market could be fully perfect but we can say it is nearly perfect.
The problems the pros platform is solving for ys is a bit confidential and cannot be shared through a public review but i must say one should always use it in solving consulting problems.
I like the simple navigation in the configuration and pricing interface. It was a pretty quick adaption process for our sales team.
It would be great to send the quote from the cart.
It allows for package creation and a beautiful end product, the customer quote.
Smart CPQ has the power and flexibility address all business needs.
Lack of ability to develope and maintain the smart CPQ entirely in house.
The connected systems. Designer, cart, portal. Pros connect and other required applications are not fully connected. Multiple logins.
PROS does not have a customer user loging management process. When a user leaves the company there is not an automated way to deactivate them from the PROS systems

I still do not understand why CPQ and Control cannot talk to each other directly but only through a 3rd party solution (SAP, SFDC...). This should be a build choice for each project.

I have enjoyed the flexibility to use the PROS pricing solution to shape it to our business needs. Pricing team can make adaptive changes quickly when the need arises. Automation of pricing and layering of pricing show tremendous upside. Their internal training is top-notch.
Data validation is very structured so that is hurdle to get over at the beginning but bears fruit quickly by being rigid. The internal analytics and data visualization are being upgraded but not quite up to par when compared to fully licensed software for that purpose.
Take the time to ask questions and help them understand your business and business needs with pricing. The time spent setting up the solution with the solutions architect is well worth the time. Attend training and get a few super users up to speed. Data cleanliness prior to starting work helps as the loading schema for data is fairly rigid (that's a good thing though).
Price consistency and real time price availability. Decreased time for speed to quote. Having the ability to have multiple pricing types as the business needs dictate has been helpful compared to the legacy pricing systems used.

Lookup tables, benchmarks offer flexibility, the new Price Guidance and the overall look and feel of the interfaces. The number of features is also very good, uploading, exporting, etc.
Migration tools do not fully migrate all of the PROS offerings, it should do a better job. Platform analytics should offer more options (down to user level, a filter to remove "noise" - not just counting a user logging in an out, give the ability to identify meaningful attributes.
I am in IT not the business. Overall for the business, it is saving a lot of time wasted inputting manual spreadsheets leaving them more time to analyze pricing options.
