The ability to control who accesses reviews, who can accept changes/comments, keeping review timelines on track, and the ability to collaborate in real-time with the entire team able to weigh in makes review and comment mitigation a breeze
Working offline in airplane mode is a little difficult to figure out.
Limiting reviewers to a specific review period. We often had reviewers entering documents after the review period to complete their review; this created many issues with meeting timelines and generated reword for our QC department when changes were made during or after QC. By limiting access to reviews in PleaseReview instead of SharePoint reviewers understand that their chance to have input to a quality document is limited to the two-week review timeframe. Better compliance with timelines equals on-time deliverables.
Reminders to the reviewers, multiple reviewers can review the document at a given time.
Few Diagrams, Tables, PDFs and MS Visio files are not well supported in PleaseReview
Cross functional reviews
The software is highly user-friendly. It is intutive and allows the writer to collate all comments in one place. The reports are suitable for audit purposes and archiving.
Major sections in a document cannot be moved around.
Collobrating reiview of documents using multiple reviews. Control of the review cycles.
PleaseReview facilitates the entire review process, allowing to achieve faster turn-around times and meet tight deadlines for collaborative document development. It is particularly useful for reviewing large, complex documents. PleaseReview provides the perfect balance of control and flexibility. It minimized the risk of unintentional document changes, allows simultaneous review by many authors without the risk of losing any of the comments, and gives the author full control over the proposed edits. It also gives a perfect overview of the process, including the review status for each reviewer, automatic reminders, and reconciliation reports summarizing all comments.
Nothing, really. PleaseReview has certain limitations when it comes to collaborative authoring (e.g. in direct table editing), but for reviewing complex regulatory documents this is rather an advantage.
PleaseReview saves a lot of time and effort for the teams working on the development of large complex documents. No comments are lost due to technical issues or due to multiple document versions circulating in emails, the reviews never have to duplicate their effort due to lost comments, and the lead author has full control over the document changes and the review process.
I've been a Please Review user for many years and have always appreciated the ability to receive the PR report of the edited document.
Clunky functioning when attempting to edit Tables in PR; Figures frequently skew
New users adapting quickly, with an ability to move away from shared drive version control issues.
Follow through was consistent and professional.
There was nothing of note that I can think of. Everything works.
Reviewing FDA-regulated documents.
I like that it is web browser-based and therefore we do not need to grant external parties access to sensitive databases on Sharepoint or similar services. This keeps our systems more secure while allowing us to collaborate more effectively.
I wish it was easier to transfer licenses between users. Individual licenses are costly and we can't have a license for every external party. Though there is a workaround in the sense that you can assign a particular license to be a "External Party Login" for consultants, vendors, etc (one only needs to change the password between sharing).
Also, I wish there was an easier way to review associated documents/files related to the draft collaborative document.
Mostly keeping track of changes to a document. This helps cut down on having many, many versions of a document circulating through email with individual or small changes between versions.
PleaseReview is easy to use and we are able to collaborate with both internal and external contributors without all the firewalls.
Nothing yet. There does not seem to be anything missing for what I needed the platform for.
The ability for multiple people to edit a document at the same time and save all contributor's contributions. Helps tremendously with document control.
Please Review puts my staff in control of document review. It does away with inefficiencies and loss of version control; saves hundreds of man-hours and thousands of dollars in lost time for each collaborative document.
A direct in-app MS WORD plug in plus the ability to use Please Review as a complete Veeva UI would be splendid.
Do an internal Beta test using a live project document. Take advantage of the great training materials provided by Ideagen.
Eliminates much of the redundancy seen when reviews are done in isolation from other collaborators. Allows collaborators to have discussions and adjudicate within the document. Also, allows for sub-reviews, so that individual functions can come to consensus and upload a unified set of comments.
