Flexibility of the tool to adapt to multiple client situations. Ability to customize a challenge to a specific audience or crowd. We have run over 1000 challenges that are very diverse. It is has been able to adapt to all of the situations we have attempted. Some time takes a bit of work with the tool to get it right, but so far it has been outstanding.
Another component I like a lot is the inisghts tool and ability to embedded dashboards.
Some of the recent UI improvements are not really improvements. Specifically, I liked the Ball effect for the Idea Stages. The new approach is not very useful. On the plus side of the new UI, I do like the Admin console, especially the graduation criteria panel.

I like that you are able to design your platform in way you like in terms of branding. It gives you a sense of pride and ownership of the platform and ability to make it line up perfectly with your company branding.
Before the version upgrade it was a bit hard to navigate as an administrator on the back end but since then its become a lot easier!

I have looked at several innovation/idea management platforms, and so far Spigit seems to stand out as the most complete platform. I like the over all simplicity and robustness. We were able to quick implement SSO and set up our challenges.
The user interface looks a bit dated and can use a new refreshed look. Being able to add your branding is good, but that part can be more feature-rich. The user permissions and a mix of SSO/form-login for a wide mix of end users would be beneficial too.
Make sure you have a good strategy and goal before making a platform decision. It requires a lot of financial and time investment to roll out an idea management software
Spigit is our primary idea management platform. We have a large group of talented people with many technical/non-technical backgrounds. It is vital for us to ensure that we are capturing ideas from everyone and applying these ideas timely and effectively.
The aesthetic gives a much more professional feel to our site, and operationally, this feels like a website, which is better/more intuitive for the end user. Internally, the flexibility of the application and the functionality solve many reporting problems, create efficiency and prevents much double documentation that my team currently has to do.
Some of the required elements on the forms don't match 100% with the way that we need to do business. For example, we have to have a unique name that the user enters, however, we have many repeat users and therefore that needed to be solved for creatively.

Work closely with your Spigit support team to design challenges that are best suited for your needs. Create a clear plan for identifying executive sponsors and challenge team members, challenge communication, and idea implementation before starting a challenge.

Only a minor note: As it is the same platform for all using companies, it is not easy, to put a desirable new feature into developing queue.
