A 'no-barrier to entry' tool requiring little to no training, LeanKit has greatly enabled our Agile transformation. LeanKit has enabled a simplified approach for delivery teams to visualize their work. Additionally, as the product has been enhanced, it drives the next logical step for increased adoption and growth.
We've found things to be almost too customizable, which has led to a challenging environment to standardize reporting and training across the landscape. Additionally, we'd welcome some customization options for the main card area.
LeanKit is enabling our Agile transformation as well as driving our scrum-at-scale framework. Our delivery teams use disparate tools, making coordinating work very challenging. LeanKit brings a collaborative environment for various levels of leadership to descend on.
The ability to fully customize boards makes this software unique. The data analytics are great as well.
I always seem to have trouble logging into the app on my phone. Ever since planview took over, the Leankit app doesn't really work.
I'm able to keep on top of my work load, keep track of tasks and prioritize quickly
How easy it is to use the product and keep the shop organized
Nothing at this point during the use of the product
Job priorities and tracking metrics
I love how sleek the design is. Everything is easy to find on the project, and easily categorized. We use LeanKit for developers during our releases to keep track of their tasks, and for our services team to assign deployments. It is easy to use for both use cases and easy for our team to keep track of.
We use LeanKit by putting 'Card Type' as the person who is assigned to a given card, and any helpers are added as 'Assigned Users'. This can get confusing because we wish that we could terminology change the 'Card Type' to 'Assigned Users' and 'Assigned Users' to 'Additional Users' or 'Helpers' or something else.
Definitely use LeanKit! We love it!
We use LeanKit for release cards when we push out software releases, as well as assigning projects to our users. It makes it very easy for our users to know who is assigned to what subjects.
Personally I like the idea of having a consolidated status view , which provides the persons from management a holistic view of the entire deliverables and we could rapidly integrate the same in our opportunities and risk areas.
Even though the experience is very good, however, there is always a scope for improvement. Some more documentation and hierarchy could be made, to further enhance its utilization at different levels of organization and thus achieve a more collaborative and agile way of working while using the leankit.
I would like to strongly recommend the usage of Leankit by Planview for managing the projects and business deliveries in more agile and scrum format.
My core area is program management, which means I have to track a lot of different projects, which are working at different levels. The Leankit provides me an opportunity to integrate the outcomes and life cycles of all my projects in a single board of Leankit and thus getting timely update from a single view.
Keeps me organized and on track of my priorities
I like everything about it, it is super easy to use.
Prioritizing tasks
It is very easy to tell at a glance tasks/processes that need to be completed
The email/card integration could be improved upon
This a much more intuitive product to use than others on the market
We need a way to track what each team member is working on and Leankit has given us a pretty good handle on that
The level of customization makes it useful for all kinds of project management (not just sprints).
More customizable fields would be nice, particularly drop-down menus with options for multiple selections.
Managing heavy workloads. Multiple projects on the go are much easier to manage and makes the workload less daunting.
The user interface is very flexible and powerful and also easy to use at the same time.
I don't know if there's a way to plot a chart of the tasks and their dependencies and estimated time. I think I could use that.
I'm using it in a software development project and it helps me communicate with my team and boss.

Planview AgilePlace is an excellent tool for engineers and works well with ALM, Project management and Agile development, and we can easily integrate it with our enterprise. Performance is smooth, and implementation is straightforward, helping us keep track of the deadlines of clients, which is beneficial for our business. This is also used in team meetings to discuss work in progress; Planview AgilePlace makes our weekly team meeting more effective, able to flag things outside input and assign deadline dates.
Should have a little more flexibility in the card fields when we connect with our team. Reporting dashboards can be improved to show better insights; the user interface can be more flexible, and the import/export of data could be more effective because sometimes getting errors when initiating the import/export of data.
