Its easy to set up, all information is in one hub , it streamlines our Purchase Orders and Accounts Payable, our staff love it because all purchasing is centralized and simplified.
Nothing really, we used other products on the market, and they were clunky compared to Planergy

The search functionality in a list could be more robust. Most items won't pop up unless you get the

What I like the best about Planergy is that it automatically creates my POs for me. Typically all I have to do is several clicks.
When searching for PO's when you click to view one the search results are then lost, so if its not the correct PO you wish to vew hitting back does not return to the search grid as was populated previously.
Automated workflows save us a lot of time. Also, we have better control over budget and spend.

I would love it if the line items alternated colour to differentiate the lines when creating a PO with multiple lines.

This tool is essentially a set of templates - both for PO content directly and the routing and approval processes based on the organization structure. Both work well and make completing and routing POs much easier than our old system of completing an out-of-date Excel file template and emailing it around to the list of recipients that aren't well documented.
In our configuration, billing codes are not clearly defined as it's the finance department that manages which purchases are billed to which codes, but we, as the initiators, are asked to complete that information. It results in some back-and-forth with PO reviewers before approval. I'm sure that's more an issue of our specific implementation, however.

Planergy is a simple, robust, intuitive system with excellent reporting and superb customer service.
So far, it works as advertised. I can't think of any downsides to the system in the way we use it.
