Full AI Image recognition you can "train" not available out of the box - it's a paid bolt-on not mentioned clearly. But cost is not high.

Kick-off project plan: - 1) establish type (video, image) and volume (storage) of assets 2) establish location(s). 3) Establish any specific requests - eg large-scale tagging with AI, help with data migration 4) Contact Picso.io to discuss the process, costs etc. and then draw up a full plan (setup, end-user buy-in and training, ongoing admin etc.

Important: if users are going to upload a lot, they need to be on a symmetrical connection - one with a fast upload rate. Most home and many office connections only have fast download rates only. Consider using Mountain Duck - this software copies from external drives to the cloud storage without filling the computer's local hard drive - invaluable.

Organisation, tagging and sharing or assets across locations

It's a straightforward way of managing our photo assets using Google drive. It's accessible from anywhere and is far more cost-effective than many of its competitors.

Nothing really. It was a bit of a learning curve to get used to system and it took some time to upload and tag, but once it was all up and running it's very smooth.

We now have team members contributing to the DAM system from all over the world. In the past, there was a bottleneck as the London-based admins had to add media.

The ability to utilize our existing Google Drive storage and share it with Pics.io made the transition quick, straightforward, and within our modest budget. The auto-generated keywords and the ability to create custom keywords have also been helpful for easier searching and browsing. We love the website feature; searching, browsing, and downloading photos is a breeze, not only for our internal team but also for our external constituents.

I recently discovered there's not an easy way (or way at all?) to delete keywords in bulk. While some of the auto-generated keywords have been helpful and get used, many others are less relevant and can only be removed one at a time. Other than that, I appreciate the simplified layout and minimal controls.

We previously had a very cumbersome and inefficient way of storing and sharing photos via Google Drive. The inability to browse through multiple folders at once, not being able to tag photos with keywords, and having to constantly adapt sharing settings, made it quite frustrating to share images both within and outside of our department. Pics.io has eliminated all of these issues in one fell swoop. We surveyed other D.A.M. solutions, and the main problem with those other vendors was the outrageous cost of storage space. With Pics.io, we could keep our existing Google Drive storage, which ultimately saved us thousands of dollars every year.
