It has a simple, modern interface with integrations that are important to most corporate environments. Having microsoft 365 integrations is a huge bonus especially when your organization uses it heavily for work.
The team is also phenomenal in their support and partnership with businesses.
These may be current gripes that will be fixed in the future. When in one view (Pick-it Drive), there isn't the ability to adjust the size of thumbnails for the assets and you have to click into it to see a larger preview of the asset file. There have been issues with video playback in the front end of websites where Pick-it videos are embedded.
Having a unified repository of media assets that anyone can easily search and pull what they need from. Workflows that help ensure everything uploaded into the DAM has been reviewed and ready for use. Being able to create segmented instances for different departments to use the DAM differently without affecting how others use the DAM.
Now into year 2 with Pickit and as a very small marketing team that did not have a DAM prior to, this product was easy to integrate in O365 and the Pickit team worked with us through the entire process.
This product integrates easily into PowerPoint and includes a Brand Guide feature to easily develop and provide a Corporate Brand identity guide to your company.
Occasionlay we have run into feature bugs, however these are quickly resolved and the support teams always quick actions any issues.
Previously all content was dumped into folders, untagged and took ages to locate specific items or people. Having easily searchable content saves time and effort.
It is so easy to use, and helps me a lot to organize my information. I also can personalize the way I can search documents and media. Really recommend it if you are looking for something practical.
Maybe I dislike that actually there is no way to establish filter categories and that you cant add a collection into another collection. But generally I really like it.
Pickit solve the way I can find the information (documents and also media assets). Also how I can organize it. It is saving me time searching for I want it and what I need it.
Pickit is intuitive, easy to use, and provides both intellectual control and wide user access to our assets. Looking foward to seeing what we can do with the platform long-term.

We are wrangling a ton of assets across several departments with multiple users and Pickit is providing a structure for it all.
Their asset management portal is very intuitive. Adding and organizing our brand elements via collections allows our employees to find exactly what they need in a matter of seconds. Metadata tags are automatically added to images so users can search through and sort our approved photography collection using keywords. The Google Slides extension was something our executives were very excited about. Having the Pickit extension open while creating presentations gives all of our employees the ability to utilize approved imagery and graphics without the need to navigate to another drive or submit creative requests. This has been very helpful in our efforts to maintain brand consistency across all pieces of content (regardless of who is creating them).
I would like to be able to create sub-collections within some of my top-level collections. There may already be a way to do this and I just need to spend a bit more time exploring the full functionality of the software. Excited to keep learning!
Pickit allows our team to collect and organize a more focused library of digital assets. Over the years, our "Drive" has become cluttered with thousands of files and difficult to navigate. Pickit provides a concise view of all our most important – and most used – assets. They are all in one place and are easy to search and implement.
Its extremely easy to use and roll out to others on the team. We also love the PPT plugin, as it helps us design reports much faster! It also allows our non-design teams to not have to reach out to graphics as much for help placing images and icons because our assets are already right there for them. I also love that the pickit team is there to help go above and beyond for us as a client. The PicKit customer support team is a super easy group to work with!
It is a tad buggy, like many microsoft based programs. Whenever there are updates, we notice a few things breaking. We also really wish there were a specific phrase feature for single words or phrases, because we have ran into the problem where smaller words will show up in larger words, and when we search we will see unrealted things. (For example, the word "car" is in the word "healthCARe" so when folks search for 'car' they get a bunch of photos of doctors.) I also wish there were better AI tagging capabilities for calling out specific things in photos and adding those tags to the metadata. AI tagging exists, but we don't find it super helpful yet.
For about a decade, my graphics department has been piling up stock photos and vector art in a very convuluted system of file folders on our network drive. This grew to be over 50,000 assets and counting. As you can imagine, searching for stock media on this system was VERY frustrating, time consuming and would often crash your computer. Now that we have all of our assets up on PicKit, it is saving us as a team a ton of time! We have also now rolled out PicKit to other departments who don't necessacarily do graphics, but sometimes need to swap out photos or icons in layouts when they are in a pinch--this is amazing for them as well because they don't have to ask graphics for help as much.
We also really love the slides feature, that has gotten way bigger than we thought and we are continuing to grow it every day! In marketing research, we use a lot of very complex charts and layouts in powerpoint--this makes the design process in powerpoint much easier and quicker! Being able to tag a chart, search it and plop it into your report is a much quicker process than having a library of PPT files that we dig through for charts and layouts that we want to recycle.
What I love most about Pickit is that is keeps our Digital Assets up to date, available and easy to use!
Sometimes I find it difficult to save changes such as external assets etc.
Pickit makes all our ppts, photos and videos available in a controlled way. It makes our work agile, within guidelines and unite.
The best thing is the searchability of all assets. Easy to tag images and have all our assets easy to find for the whole organization. Smooth implementation since it is integrated via Microsoft.
Would like to have more "folders" options. It would be nice to have collections in collections in several layers to be able to create more structure of the assets that we upload since we are a big organization with hundreds of users.
It's easy to share images, ppts and photos across the whole organization to all our countries. Also user friendly, easy for all users to understand and start working with the tool.
The ease of onboarding & speed to value has been most noteworthy. After signing up for PickIt, I was able to get functional use directly out of the box, and had my first assets updated in less than 2 minutes.
The ongoing usage of PickIt has been equally simple, and everyone I've collaborated with in it has had zero issues as well.
