Paywhirl is very intutive. They make it so easy to attach a digital download to your subscription and have it easily accessible for customers. They are very helpful any time I ask them questions on their chat. Before using Paywhirl, we made our own system to track our digital subscriptions and it was complicated and did not work very well. Paywhirl has made tracking our business easy and it is worth every cent.
Paywhirl is a little pricey. We did get the half off because we started paying early enough. However, there are a few other things I dislike as well. I wish that on the active subscriptions page, there was a button to export active subscriptions and the promo code they used when they signed up. Other than that, it is simple and I like it.
Sending out digital subscriptions, managing subscriptions, seeing who has cancelled, making reports, and more. It has made our life so much easier.

We switched from Bold to Paywhirl a few months ago, to change the structure of a subscription service from a perks-based membership to a product-based subscription. The customers are really enjoying the interface a lot more than they were with Bold, which was clunky and limited.
When we run into issues, Paywhirl is quick to respond and help.
As of April 2022, it's impossible to quickly see how many of each type of item are expected to be purchased through subscription plans, without going deep into Shopify's reports. It would be great for the dashboard to display estimates on how many products I need for future months.

Nothing. Way too many issues for being two weeks in.
I had to get a support rep to help since the directions on the site for set up are outdated (as per the rep), but I assumed it was set up correctly after having their help. Wrong.
Unfortunately with each payment (of a four payment plan), it places a new order and charges us for the on-demand product cost. Now I have to cancel all orders, refund everyone and figure out how I'm going to get these customers back.
And of course, support takes way too long to respond, already a few hours in with no resolution to the second issue within two weeks of using the app. They told me to refund on Shopify, I do so and it says "request declined."
I'm assuming what they didn't tell me was that I needed to cancel the subscription first so I did it in reverse and hope it works. Not sure until I see us the biz refunded for multiple orders.
If the website support is outdated (and wrong), two reps don't know what they're doing ,and support takes way too long), how can you trust this app?
It's not, total and epic fail.
