"PayWhirl Changed our Lives"
What do you like best about PayWhirl?

Paywhirl is very intutive. They make it so easy to attach a digital download to your subscription and have it easily accessible for customers. They are very helpful any time I ask them questions on their chat. Before using Paywhirl, we made our own system to track our digital subscriptions and it was complicated and did not work very well. Paywhirl has made tracking our business easy and it is worth every cent.

What do you dislike about PayWhirl?

Paywhirl is a little pricey. We did get the half off because we started paying early enough. However, there are a few other things I dislike as well. I wish that on the active subscriptions page, there was a button to export active subscriptions and the promo code they used when they signed up. Other than that, it is simple and I like it.

What problems is PayWhirl solving and how is that benefiting you?

Sending out digital subscriptions, managing subscriptions, seeing who has cancelled, making reports, and more. It has made our life so much easier.

What do you like best about PayWhirl?

PayWhirl has been incredibly helpful guiding me in setup process. I like how simple and customizable the platform is, with the option to integrate vendors.

What do you dislike about PayWhirl?

PayWhirl lacks features and customization options. There is room for improvement in terms of flexibility and advanced customization options.

It simplifies the process saves time and offers a payment channel. Its customizable features enable me to tailor the experience.

"A big step up from Bold Memberships/Subscriptions"
What do you like best about PayWhirl?

We switched from Bold to Paywhirl a few months ago, to change the structure of a subscription service from a perks-based membership to a product-based subscription. The customers are really enjoying the interface a lot more than they were with Bold, which was clunky and limited.

When we run into issues, Paywhirl is quick to respond and help.

What do you dislike about PayWhirl?

As of April 2022, it's impossible to quickly see how many of each type of item are expected to be purchased through subscription plans, without going deep into Shopify's reports. It would be great for the dashboard to display estimates on how many products I need for future months.

What problems is PayWhirl solving and how is that benefiting you?

Paywhirl is helping us create a 'floor' of steady, fairly predictable income through several different product subscriptions. This is a good complement to the bursts of sales we get during product drops.

What do you like best about PayWhirl?

It is incredibly easy to set up multiple subscriptions in the tool.

What do you dislike about PayWhirl?

I dislike that I now have to purchase a plan in order to use the tool.

It is a great subscription tool.

I am solving the problem of managing subscriptions. The benefit is that I don't have to manually manage subscriptions.

What do you like best about PayWhirl?

Easy to use payment platform that you can implement and begin to use immediately.

What do you dislike about PayWhirl?

Need to use an outside vendor to customize the design to our needs. Also it doesn’t have a development platform separate from the live-production platform.

What problems is PayWhirl solving and how is that benefiting you?

We needed a standalone payment shopping cart and found PayWhirl to be the best choice for our needs.

"Terrible experience that negatively impacted our cash flow."
What do you like best about PayWhirl?

Nothing. Way too many issues for being two weeks in.

What do you dislike about PayWhirl?

I had to get a support rep to help since the directions on the site for set up are outdated (as per the rep), but I assumed it was set up correctly after having their help. Wrong.

Unfortunately with each payment (of a four payment plan), it places a new order and charges us for the on-demand product cost. Now I have to cancel all orders, refund everyone and figure out how I'm going to get these customers back.

And of course, support takes way too long to respond, already a few hours in with no resolution to the second issue within two weeks of using the app. They told me to refund on Shopify, I do so and it says "request declined."

I'm assuming what they didn't tell me was that I needed to cancel the subscription first so I did it in reverse and hope it works. Not sure until I see us the biz refunded for multiple orders.

If the website support is outdated (and wrong), two reps don't know what they're doing ,and support takes way too long), how can you trust this app?

It's not, total and epic fail.
