UI on ownback is great! It's so easy to navigate and somebody with no experience will also have confidence to get things done right
Honestly I have come across nothing that I dislike about it
Backing up data efficiently daily without any hurdles if there are any hurdles then the notifications are very easy to understand
As a Salesforce Developer and Administrator, I've had the opportunity to integrate various tools and platforms to enhance our CRM capabilities. OwnData has been a standout addition to our tech stack, seamlessly blending with our Salesforce environment.
One of the most impressive aspects of Owndata.com is its seamless integration with Salesforce. This integration has streamlined our data management processes, allowing for real-time data syncing and enhanced data accuracy.
Owndata.com boasts a user-friendly interface that our team picked up with ease. This ease of use has resulted in a smoother adoption across our Salesforce Admins, enhancing overall productivity.
A critical aspect where OwnData proved invaluable was in data recovery from backups. During an unexpected data loss incident, OwnData's robust backup and recovery features were a lifesaver. We were able to quickly restore lost data, ensuring business continuity with minimal impact. This capability not only saved us from potential data-related crises but also reinforced our trust in the reliability and security of our data management systems.
Their customer support team deserves a special mention for their prompt and effective solutions, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient problem resolution.
I highly recommend OwnData to any business looking to enhance their Salesforce capabilities. Its integration ease, user-friendly interface, and reliable customer support make it an invaluable asset for data-driven decision-making.
We haven't come across any real issues yet. The UX and features are more than what meets our needs.
We have been able to use OwnBackup to seamlessly move data or restore data to multiple environments without any hassle. It's truly a set it and forget it. We even get daily notifications to make sure our jobs are not failing.
The ability to restore data or metadata.
I don't have much negative things to say regarding Ownbackup
Ability to seed data, backup data and metadata, restore data and metadata
Storing stats in ownbackups aws and having it accessible for all our Salesforce end-users to access is a huge benefit of onboarding them into our instance. They provide so much help and solutions to implement and guide you until you feel comfortable.
Since we have onboarded own backup, we have learnt so much. There is so much going on that it can get a bit confusing. Having our onboarding rep, will, has been really helpful.
We are storing data in ownbackup so we do not hit our file and data storage limits in Salesforce. We want to be able to store attachments and tasks while still being able to access them internally
The user interface and experience is one of the biggest highlights of OwnBackup. Each step along the way, the interface presents the good and the "issues" that you might be facing. You can identify problems - whether related to login or permissions - quickly and address most with relative ease. The dashboard, the updates, the reports are all top notch!
I have not experienced much that I dislike about OwnBackup. Tracing issues with permissions take time, as can making bulk updates to the related profile for the automated user.
Prior to OwnBackup, our backup/recovery/restoration process involved the standard Salesforce Data Extracts on a weekly basis. This is incredibly inefficient, as I am sure folks know! Our first order of business with OwnBackup was to establish the regular backup cadence to address that need. We are also looking into the OwnBackup Secure product to further improve our current security setup.
We reviewed multiple different Salesforce backup solutions, but OwnBackup was the clear winner. Not only do they have a robust backup and archival platform, their service and support is among the best out there among SaaS companies! They will help you every step of the way to ensure you're set up properly and will guide you through any processes if you ever get stuck for any reason. With training, the tool is simple and intuitive to use and there are no storage limits!
There is nothing to dislike about OwnBackup. They are the complete package!
OwnBackup ensures that all of our data is safely backed up in the event of data corruption, changes, or failure of any kind. We use the archival component to save on Salesforce storage space. We can see the archived data directly within Salesforce and so you can't even tell it's being stored on OwnBackup's servers. We're saving money on Salesforce by not having to pay so much for storage space and we have peace of mind, knowing that we can recover data at any point and store information as long as we want.
OwnBackup's thorough backup and restoration and archival capabilities, including but not limited to the incredible support they offer, were essentially life-changing to our org. The reliability, automation, security, and compliance standards met are above and beyond any competitors in the field. The user-friendly interface is the icing on the cake making it straightforward for any level of user to learn and operate. I genuinely believe OwnBackup is an essential tool for any organization seeking reliable data protection and management solutions.
To this date, I have not had any issues with OwnBackup. The ability to unarchive all instances of a single policy run over time would be amazing but it is not a hindrance to the effectiveness of the tool.
OwnBackup allowed us to take our org from 89% storage to 35% storage by offloading historical data no longer required for day to day reporting but still desired for access for the reps. This saved us thousands of dollars not having to purchase more storage from SalesForce. In addition user error is one of the most common issues with data lose, which we experienced many times prior to being an OB customer. With OB we no longer had to worry about data loss as it is backed up based on your time interval preference and available to you in the click of a button.
Single time setup and you don't have to worry. The best part is to compare backups and see what is missing. As a developer i feel that this tool is most useful when dealing with multiple orgs and multiple team members.
The timing for the same back up varies everytime so i would like it to be consistent. Some times it is too slow which is a bit. frustrating,
The best and easy to setup/use tool for back ups. The best part is its not only data but the meta data too. So it is useful for the business users and also for the development team. As a developer i feel safe and never worry about any data/Metadata.
I dont have to worry that my data/metadata will be deleted. Lot of benefits i actually had to delete a code but then reliazed after 2 months that we would need it again so i went in and restored it, it was quick and i dont have to worry about writing the code and unit test for it. this saved a ton of time for me in development and also in deploying.
OwnBackup solved one of the only genuine Salesforce emergencies I've ever experienced. If you don't have all of your orgs backedup in a way that is easy to access and restore, then you need OwnBackup!
Overall it's easy to use and does it's job. I haven't spent much time looking into the products they offer outside of the backup and restore, so I can't comment on those.
Backing up our orgs every day. It is an indispensible addition to our orgs. Having access to new and older backups has and will continue to prevent loss and will reduce down time

You can trust that OwnBackup has your back. Once you have it set up and integrated with your Salesforce Accounts, including your Sandbox environments, you know that your system is automatically being backed up on a regular basis. You know that the data is there and you can recover it, if you ever have your data corrupted by a user or deleted by mistake by someone.
It is a system that you can leave running in the background and know that if ever there was an issue with the backup, you will be notified via email.
There really isn't any I can say to this question. So far everyone at OwnBackup have been pleasant, approachable, knowledgeable and helpful. The product does exactly what is says on the Tin, it backs up your Salesforce instance.
The time-consuming business of doing manual backups of your Salesforce Instance, that you can never really backup 100%. Then the thought of recovering your instance from a manual back-up fills me with dread.
