I like that with TPM I no longer have to review subcontractor payment applications for math errors anymore. It's impossible to make a math error with the software. I also like that TPM posts my invoices to my accounting system automatically. This saves me hours every month as well as saves hours for people in my finance department. We can also finally pay our subcontractors electronically. Without TPM we pay subs with a paper check. Lastly, waiver collection is much easier since TPM does all of the collection work for us. I used to have to collect waivers via an email I sent to every subcontractor every month and play the waiting game. I no longer have to do this.
My team complains about the number of emails they get. I realize I can turn some emails off but I haven't found a good balance of emails my team should receive and emails I should shut off.
I still find that I have to remind my team to do their reviews but I'm not sure that's a TPM problem.
We've solved the problem of errors in our subcontractor billings and in our owner billings. I actually had a new client (that we are hoping to get additional work from) tell me that they really appreciated the consistency and accuracy of my billings. We were able to provide a clean billing including Conditional Waivers that the owner decided they wanted with the package.
We've also solved the issue of subcontractors adding change orders to an invoice without approval. TPM will not allow for it. We are saving time since we no longer haven to audit our billings for these surprise change orders.
We can pay subs electronically after we have been cutting paper checks since the beginning of time. I've actually had subs request electronic payments in the past and we were not able to do it.
Waiver collection has been an issue before Textura. I used to manually request waivers every month through an email to every subcontractor. I would have to keep a log of the waivers I needed and then I would have to wait to receive them back. Sometimes that could take weeks. With TPM I'm getting every waiver I need 72 hours after payment is released and there's no more emailing or checking logs. Again, another time saver.
TPM is also saving our finance department time. Since Textura automatically posts are Accounts Payable record after approval, there is no longer a need to have finance post invoices.
In general the time we are saving on menial tasks like checking math, collecting waivers and posting invoices can now be spent on more important tasks like forecasting and cash management. In addition to the time we are saving on these types of tasks we are also saving time on our team reviews. There's no longer a need to have a review meeting with the team.
It is impossible to make mathematical mistakes through Textura, which offloads a large problem with our past manual process

I like Textura overall...It doesn't allow you to make errors...It is like one-stop shopping for submitting my invoicing, waivers including from subcontractors...It makes my payments more automatic that I can depend on when I will collect. I wish all my clients used Textura...
You have to know what you are doing...Textura can be tricky to learn...If you don't use it every day, you can forget what you are doing...The good thing is Oracle support, which will walk you through it all.
It would help if you learned as much as you can before you start using the system.
I do my construction project invoicing through Textura...I follow a Schedule of Values for inputting...Other projects outside of Textura require paper billing forms and supporting documents to be filled out and submitted. Paper submittals is a much lengthier process than Textura.
Oracle Textura Payment Management allows our company to easily manage vendor invoicing, approval/rejection, and payments. Their system also syncs with our CMiC software to ensure efficient up-to-date information.
Vendor customer support has improved over the last few years, but could still use improvement.
Invoice errors have dropped dramatically, and we no longer have to cut so many checks. Textura has saved us time on a daily basis.
The support team is responsive and friendly.
Retention billing for self performed items in the owner/gc billing screen can be a little tricky.

It's user friendly and we have very good service in English and in French (Quebec, Canada)
The interface is only in English and some of our users are not compfortable with it (our French users and Sub Trades).
What we do is transparent with our Sub Trades. As GC, we have control over the extras to be billed (they can't be billed if we haven't authorized them). Transactions are signed electronicallly (no more exchange of documents in person).
I love being able to track previous and pending payments for each subcontractor.

ACH Payments versus manual checks
The ease for Subcontractors to input their billings and documents online and for the General Contractor to view, approve and disburse funds within the system. It is convenient to see all the records in Oracle Textura.
That every now and then there are issues with the integration with our Accounting System.
As a user of Oracle Textura I believe paying Subcontractors in a faster way via ACH is very important and record keeping is easy too.
