Comprehensive Monitoring Capabilities, Centralized Management Platform, Effective Performance Tuning Tools, Automated Administration Features
Complex Installation & Configuration, Resource Intensive & Slow Performance, Limited Third-Party Integrations, Expensive Licensing
Users greatly appreciate Oracle Enterprise Manager's robust monitoring capabilities, customizable dashboards, and ease of use. Its integration with other Oracle products is also a major advantage. However, it can be complex to set up and maintain, and some users find it expensive. Additionally, its alerting system could be improved, and it lacks some advanced features found in competing products. Overall, Oracle Enterprise Manager is a solid choice for large enterprises with complex IT environments, but it may not be the best fit for smaller businesses or those with limited budgets.

We have a GUI based interface, It's easy to manage from interferce other than command line.
There is nothing any special dislike feather in Oracle Enterprise Manager
It provides an advanced dashboard that is easy to understand, which helps diagnose the problem.
It's almost now having user friendly console and we can implement and deploy the agent through the console with GUI and also it has the easy of interation to any of the flatforms like windows and Linux etc.
I have not seen much cons about the OEM it has lot of features and also having great customer support. As a DBA we are using most frequently this OEM and we have lot of advantages to maintain the oracle databases hosted on it.
Earlier we have deoplyed the OEM agent one by one on hosts and it has taken lot of time once we have gone through new features of OEM we have upgraded and installed the agents on the servers from the OEM console it's self and we have reduced lot of time.
To manage each and every finance related entity like account payable, vendors management unit, Eclaim, Eprocure and other modules in one platform.
Nothing as of now because the functionality of the application is at peak.
Single platform with multiple module. Easy to accessible at any place.
Oracle Enterprise Manager is the best management software to manage any of the oracle product. As it's developed by Oracle, they best know how to perform the maintainence of their software and follow all the best practices to perform the LCM and monitoring of their software. The plugin based architecture of EM make is easy to develop monitoring software for any of the oracle product. The ease of use and number of features it provides makes it a great product. Oracle Enterprise Manager support for Oracle database management is very holistic, it covers all aspects of database management.
Oracle Enterprise Manager is not scalable and it's UI is very slow. Inspite of these shortcoming it's the go-to management software for all system administrators to monitor and manage the oracle products.
Oracle Enterprise Manager incorporates all the best practices for monitoring and managing the oracle databases. This reduces the burden on the DB administrator to re-invent the wheel and reuse the automation provided by EM.
The most valuable aspect of Oracle Cloud Control in my opinion is the ability of showing easily incident management graphs, where can see where is the problem
Maybe the quantity of out-of-the-box dashboards, graphs, and metrics which it collects vía agent, it can be tricky to find out what you need
Mostly performance and Execution Plan analysis.
It's alert system and access to the resources of the console.
Sometimes the response is low from the customer support team.
It solves mostly all the problems that occur on the addressed servers and is betterin terms of the same.
Most of the DBA's tasks, especially on Oracle are done through command line , but OEM provides a Graphical interface to interact with the database and do administration stuff .
Its easy to use and doensn't need much training to use it . Its ability to monitor entire database infra and sent monitoring alerts incase of issues is best it can get . it makes life easier for DBAs to monitor ,administrator ,upgrade databases from a single GUI console.
Most or all of the tasks performed by DBAs are included in the OEM , even dashboards as well . The dashboards can be improved with more metrics and indicators
create ,manage ,administor ,monitor database infrastructure. deploy OEM agents to monitor infra as well as databases. Using it to monitor Oracle engineered systems Exadata,ODA and golden gate as well
It's a very sophisticated tool that supports the GUI facility.
from now, i don't have any issue with this tool
its provide issue with GUI interface which easier to troubleshoot the issues
I liked the most about Oracle Enterprise Manger is Alert features which are providing by the Oracle. We can also do some automation at OEM lavel.
It is not compatible for all the Application server. The user interface is slightly hard to use. Vulnerabilities are find on every quarter.
The automation thing is most beneficial on application server. We can Monitore the Database server without accessing the Server.

Oracle Enterprise Manager was perfect for our company which has many needs. It's also very simple to set up whether you are new to Oracle applications or have lots of experience.
We wish we could have set up the app offsite, since it would have made it easier for our team working over the weekend from home, however it needs to be connected to the secure intranet at our company and it wasnt immediately clear if that could be done off site with a VPN.
It will make managing your systems much easier and more efficient. The support team at Oracle has been fantastic as well and helped in the setup and management stages!
Not many problems. But I would tell your potential users that it made running our business with a large staff so much easier since we have people all over the world and now we can do things remotely that we never imagined would have been an option in the past.
