This data was then presented to the user on the UI. So, basically Oracle was used as a backend data storage. Oracle was also connected to Cognos for reporting purpose. So, we entered the Oracle DB connection in Cognos and it was fetching data in real time from oracle tables. Oracle helped us to get real-time snapshot of data.

i got one thing to say is the version issue with different applications with respect to its driver. Frankly speaking,I haven't encountered any of the demirt things till now.
