It is very simple to use and you get plenty of online help on Oracle and SQL queries. Oracle is commonly in most of the colleges so even a fresher can work on Oracle project. It is also easy to increase the team size as freshers can be easily staffed to the Oracle projects. It is easy to write SQL queries and procedures to achieve business goals. It is also easy to migrate and copy Oracle Databases. It is supported on Windows as well as Unix platforms. The inbuild Triggers and DB lock functionality helps in avoiding data overwriting by mistake.

It is not a stateless DD and many large e-commerce companies are migrating to stateless DB like MongoDB. Although Oracle is pioneer in Database but Other new DBs like MongoDb and SnowFlake are getting more popular as they easily support cloud architechture

What problems is Oracle Database solving and how is that benefiting you?

We were using a Supply Chain Management tool (JDA) and Oracle data base was used by this Supply chain planning tool. Oracle was used to store all customer and sales order data. This data was then presented to the user on the UI. So, basically Oracle was used as a backend data storage. Oracle was also connected to Cognos for reporting purpose. So, we entered the Oracle DB connection in Cognos and it was fetching data in real time from oracle tables. Oracle helped us to get real-time snapshot of data.

"No stop in DB traffic"
What do you like best about Oracle Database?

-Oracle Database 12c offers scalability to handle demanding workloads effectively.

-PL/SQL offers an efficient means of developing data-intensive processes that interact with data directly, eliminating the need to transfer it to an application server.

-Optional features like Partitioning, Compression, and Encryption enhance performance, cut costs, and bolster the security of data stored in Oracle Database 12c.

What do you dislike about Oracle Database?

Oracle could enhance its internal locking mechanism, latch management, and data concurrency. I've observed databases that perform well with fewer active user sessions, but as the number of active user sessions grows, database performance proportionally declines. With a well-designed database kernel, performance issues should not arise, regardless of the number of user connections or sessions.

What problems is Oracle Database solving and how is that benefiting you?

We rely on Oracle Database 12c to store critical data from various MLFF tolling modules. Its ability to handle variable workloads while maintaining peak performance makes it an essential component in our solutions.

"Oracle is the best scalable database"
What do you like best about Oracle Database?

Oracle database is the most scalable database on the market, you can use it for small or giant projects, and it works like a charm.

I did work with Oracle databases and other Oracke products for like 20 years, and the products and quality are top also; Oracle includes all kinds of documentation, courses and free tools.

The Oracle database's SQL and PL/SQL are more powerful and advanced than others. I did use several databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL.

What do you dislike about Oracle Database?

The only complaint with the Oracle database is the installation process; this is not for all kinds of users, you need the right skills to get a successful installation, or you can spend several hours to set up.

What problems is Oracle Database solving and how is that benefiting you?

In my first years, I worked to integrate PL/SQL to an external applications development on Delphi. I build a Database Development and Administration tool for Oracle Databases Called DreamCoder for Oracle that was on the market for ten years and was a direct competition of Toad.
