Easy to Use Interface, Powerful Search Functionality, Seamless Adobe Integrations, Excellent Customer Support
Clunky Interface for Certain Features, Slow Image Loading Times, Limited Functionality with Non-Adobe Software, Confusing Keyword Tagging System
Open Asset is praised for its ability to centralize and organize digital assets, making it easy for users to find and use images, project data, and employee information. The platform's seamless integration with design software like InDesign and PowerPoint is a major time-saver, and many users appreciate the drag-and-drop features. While customer service is consistently lauded as excellent, some users wish for more robust search functionality and the ability to customize the interface more extensively.

It's easy to keep a catalog of our photography. Our employees like the convenience of having a one-stop shop for all our assets. I like the new tagging feature - it does a great job of accurately predicting the necessary tags for a photo, which has saved me a ton of time. I also really like the new homepage. Lastly, our customer success manager Kyle is wonderful! He's super helpful and always ensures we have the latest info about the platform.
As an admin, I find the settings page clunky and difficult to navigate at times. I also wish you could copy and paste the settings of one group to another.
We have thousands of photos of our properties. OpenAsset has given us the tools to create a robust catalog that is easily appealing. Before, OpenAsset we stored our photography on a PC shared drive and it was a nightmare trying to locate the files you needed. OpenAsset has completely removed this hurdle for us.
It has also allowed us to streamline how we share photography with our leasing agents and broker teams.
Open Asset is brilliant, it enables us to manage our digital assets in the way we have always dreamed of! It also allows our team to quickly find and use the resources they need. The support we have received from Open Asset to get things set up has been second to none, which has meant everyone has got up to speed on using Open Asset very quickly.
So far we don't have any negatives to report, when we compare the situation we are now in to what we were using before there is no comparison! However I have the reassurance that if there were any problems the Open Asset support team would be there for us when we needed them.
Previously we were storing images in folders on our server, which made finding what we needed very difficult if you didn't know where to look. We needed a central primarily, image, management system that would us accessible to all users wherever they were working. The bonus is that Open Asset can also store much more about a project than just the imagery. Soon it will become the main resource for all our project information.
OpenAsset gives a centralized location to find out additional information about existing project produced by Olson-Kundig. I love that all images for a specific project can be found easily and sifted through quickly.
I dislike that amount of categories to help organize projects and other documents.
OpenAsset solves the issue with time. As an architect, we do a lot of research and analysis of our projects and others as well. Olson-Kundig makes it easy by cataloging all projects on OpenAsset.
Easy to use, easy to searh and find what i am looking for.
Sometimes slow to load certain larger image sizes
researcing image references for design
OpenAsset makes it easy to organize and access our photos and project information. The ability to export to templates has streamlined the process of creating usable marketing collateral. I also love the drag-and-drop features to other programs such as Indesign and Powerpoint. OpenAsset is a must-have tool.
I dislike that you're unable to create Indesign templates on your own without consulting the OA team (and are often subject to additional fees).
OpenAsset gives us a place to store our project photos so we can easily find and use them in marketing collateral.
Simple display, easy to navigate and search through projects
Some of the exporting settings are confusing.
Quickly gathering content from various projects.
The ease of searching media files stored in OpenAsset is unbelievably helpful to me and my team. The ability to tag photos by keywords we utilitze often in our marketing materials makes finding images to use in our proposals and presentations 5x faster than searching for them through our outdated local severs. The drag and drop function makes it so quick to upload into our Indesign and Powerpoint files. The album feature makes it so easy to select mutliple photos across different categories and download them in one big batch. The customer support is superior and classes/webinars that OpenAsset offers are great.
There is literally nothing to dislike about OpenAsset. I tell my team multiple times a day "I don't know how we functioned before OpenAsset!"
OpenAsset has solved the issue of our team not being able to quickly and easily review and select photos to use in marketing materials. The online storage allows us to access these images much more quickly than we could while these photos were saved on our local servers.
I've been working with Open Asset in our company for a bit now. First things first, the search function is top-notch. Finding images feels almost effortless, and when it comes to downloading, it's straightforward and efficient. There's a sense of organization in the platform that I genuinely appreciate.
Our location in the Middle East seems to be a factor, leading to occasional slower response times and minor delays in accessing and downloading assets. In spite of this, the merits of Open Asset notably overshadow this singular shortcoming. The platform has been beneficial for us, and with server optimizations for global users, it has the potential to be even more impressive
we have thousand of images and it helps me find the suitable image on the time i need it
We have been an OpenAsset customer for many years, and they are continuously improving their system and always looking for feedback on how they can serve us better. OpenAsset has been a life saver for organizing our digital assets. It's so easy to find images and drop in our Adobe software (ie. InDesign, PowerPoint, etc.). No more broken links! The customer service team is the best I've ever worked with - extremely responsive and our account manager is always willing to jump on a call to talk through any questions. It also integrates with our marketing software, Unanet, making it easy to create profiles for our projects. I can't say enough good things about OA - it truly has been one of our marketing team's best investments!
I believe they are working on an Illustrator drag-and-drop feature (to be released soon) and am hopeful that one day we will be able to drag-and-drop videos into PowerPoint so that we can start saving those within the platform as well.
It's helped us organize our photos and other marketing material, freeing up room on our server and making it easier to find custom material. In addition, not dealing with broken links in InDesign has been a game changer.

All of our photo and branding files are now organized in a visual way that makes so much more sense than network folders. This platform is a huge time and frustration saver. Our account manager is also wonderful.
The Sizes tab is very clunky to crop photos with - all it does is resize them in their origina proportions. It doesn't actually crop them to the exact dimensions specified.
