What I find most helpful is the Oak Engage team are always on hand to help with any questions or queries you may have.
There are also useful guides to help you through any areas and functions when creating something new.
I think in an ideal world it would be great to have a few more options for page layouts and functions. Also some pages are viewed differently on the mobile app, this can sometimes be a little frustrating.
We are currently looking into the branded app version as we want our users to be able to sign up with ease and just enter their user name and password. Having to use a QR code can be a problem in our business., this is due to not colleagues having access to another device in order to scan their code. The branded app is giving us the option the be able to customise the sign-in process to our user's needs.
The best part is how easy oak is to use. You would be able to create attractive content with very little training.
There are very few negatives about oak, and the help platform and idea sharing is brilliant. You feel listened to and supported when something doesn't go quite how you expect. The way we use oak isn't for how it is intended in some cases ie. to send emails containing communication. It would be good if the user could read them without having to open the oak app.
It is great that our Managers have a central place to go to get all of the information they need. Our previous intranet was difficult to navigate.

Oak is extremely fluid has a very high number of features and options. The challenges you face will be less to do with the software and more to do with narrowing down how you want to structure it and which features you want to roll out.
Staff engagement - this was a real challenge for us, which Oak has helped us with. Being able to closely monitor which staff are engaging and with what is very valuable to us.
Oak is easy to use and continuously upgraded. It suits our workforce and all technicial abilities. I LOVE the customer support - they are all so lovely and helpful! Bending over backwards so you get the experience you want and need.
There isn't much! A lot of the niggles I have can be fixed at our business end with extra training and knowledge not with Oak. I would maybe like an easier way to produce a summary of stories, like a mailchimp, at the end of the week.
If you want a simple solution that can be used by, and empowers, your whole workforce then Oak is the perfect solution. Customer support is excellent and they really give you everything to set up your intranet and implement it among your colleagues.
Our communications department can now react like a newsroom which is perfect, as we were working on email before. We can get news to our people quickly and can update it regularly - a godsend during the pandemic.
The platform is quite easy to use and has lots of benefits for customisation
It would be helpful if the insights were more in-depth, for example - 'Blank Page' could be titled
Currently, we are not facing any issues, but on the odd occasion when I have had to contact the team, Brooke has been incredibly helpful

It's not always intuitive to use, but there are training docs and videos available. The company used to be very approachable but as they've grown it seems to have become more corporate and lost its uniqueness and quickyness. The account team aren't always sure of how to do things, but will find out and get back to you asap.
Plan out your site before you start building it - it will make your job a lot easier.

Reaching different people in the business in different ways. We've realised the importance of communication as we have various different colleagues desk based and not.
I have only been working with Oak for a short time (I took over ownership when a colleague left), but I have been very impressed with how responsive and helpful support and our Account Management team have been. We are still new and learning how the site is intended to work and how our company's site was designed. They are very patient and helpful, offering suggestions and tips, directing us to recorded training videos, etc.
I think any pain points we have uncovered so far are related to how our site was structured years ago, not issues with Oak. Oak is helping to guide/advise us on the cleanup of some of those issues to improve our site.
I know we are not utilizing Oak to its full functionality - but even just a "bare-bone" site is easy to maintain and a valuable way to communicate information to your group. Oak makes it easy to understand all the features and settings, and they are there to help you with any issues.
Our company intranet is our main form of communication, and Oak helps us maintain that.
