NetX has a huge range of features that can accommodate many different workflows and use cases, but the interface is so well designed that you never feel overwhelmed by options. The UX is very intuitive and clear. The onboarding process was extremely well-planned and thorough so that our team was well-equipped to jump right in on launch day. In the first month of use, we saw huge improvements in our teams' productivity and feel that we're now really well set up for future growth. We feel very supported by the NetX tech support site as well as the team from the demo all the way through implementation. We looked at dozens of DAMs and could not have been happier with choosing NetX.
I cannot think of anything that we dislike about NetX. It is an extremely good fit for our company and the user experience has been virtually flawless from the beginning.
We have found NetX to be a perfect fit for our company of approximately 30 employees, but I can easily see how it would also work for smaller or even much larger teams. The interface is extremely intuitive and scalable and the onboarding process is customized to make sure the site does exactly what you need it to do.
We needed a centralized, accessible database for photography and visual assets. Our top priorities were that we needed to be able to search and filter files based on custom criteria, to easily share assets within our team and with outside collaborators, and to catalog versions and avoid duplication of files. We've been able to quickly and easily implement all of these features on NetX, along with many other features that we weren't even anticipating, but which have inspired new efficiencies in our workflows.
PROS: One of the things that caught my attention is how I could customize this tool to serve the purposes I got it for. For instance, the tool's capability to handle multiple uploads makes it a perfect fit for users that are handling a huge number of assets. While they can upload directly via the web browser, I was impressed by the upload application that uploads the assets on its own, so you are free to work on other things. You can also customize this so that search capabilities are optimized and function as search filters. You can even have unique attribute fields in place. What this can do with existing file data is also great. It can take the metadata from Dublin Core, Camera Raw, EXIF, and IPTC fields. Once you've imported the files onto this, the software does the job of syncing those attributes. I found it incredibly helpful because it has automated the tagging and attributes an application to assets that have just been imported. What that translates to is an easier job for us when we are searching files. It even delivers on the aesthetics because its Portal makes for a great experience for those who are either just viewing, searching, sharing, or downloading a file. The Portal can also be used to configure micro CMS pages, which boosts what an organization wants to say about a brand. I think organizations looking to improve their digital content management wold do well to get themselves this software.
CONS: Since you access this online, the biggest complaint I have about it is the fact that a lack of an internet connection immediately renders it useless. Fortunately, you can still use a smartphone to access it, thanks to the recently introduced mobile optimizations.
PROS: The most impressive thing about this may not be the tool itself but their support team. Whenever I encounter a problem with it, they are quick to resolve it for me. The developers also listen to the customers when it comes to coming up with new features.
CONS: Before voicing my complaint, I want to point out that the developer has already been working on it, and I have seen improvement over the past few months. The biggest gripe I have with it is that there is a slight lag with the tool when updates and changes are introduced. But like I said, it has been improving over the past few months.
PROS: There are a lot of things that I found impressive with this tool. For one, the simple and straightforward user interface is a gem and made it so easy for the team to learn how to use it. I also appreciated the flexibility of the importation, mapping, and syncing of metadata. This software also made it easy for our team to compare data from different assets, thanks to the Metadata Grid Editor. We've been so impressed with this that you can now find it being used in our museums, for our communications, and even for medicine. It's also a great thing that the customer support team that they have in place provides great help. They work hard to resolve your issue for you. The openness of the company towards customer suggestions is also a great thing to see. They have a site for product feedback and suggestions that they actively monitor and I think that is amazing. A lot of the updates I've been seeing have come from user suggestions!
CONS: I think this product is as close to perfect as it can be. Sure, there are still things to be improved, such as its GUI design elements and some of its workflow and features. It wouldn't hurt if they optimized the GUI design elements, like I said, and improved the workflows. I've also noticed that the software has become better and better with each new version that comes out. All in all, I'm confident that any future issues I may encounter will be effectively resolved.
PROS: The benefits this has brought to our users has been great. The interface is simple, so clients do not have to contend with a steep learning curve. It has strong search capabilities also make each search come up with what our clients are looking for.
CONS: My biggest complaint is how the tool's native interface and the interface for the Portal do not exactly align. However, I have been told that the developers are working on it, and I look forward to both interfaces aligning.
PROS: Our management were really charmed by the tool's Portal and thought it was remarkable. I've seen the tool improve the storage and distribution of our digital assets.
CONS: Frankly speaking, we have not had any issues with using this tool. It's working great for us.
PROS: This product has really helped out our company. It was complicated for us to keep all of our visual assets in order and access them since they were in local servers. With this product, any member of our company can easily access our visual assets wherever they may be. Another impressive thing about this product is how they have provided support and training for us. It helped us set up this product and shortened the time that would have been spent installing it.
CONS: There are still a few things that we are adjusting to. For one thing, it can be a bit overwhelming to tag assets. One improvement I'd like to see moving forward is to have the tags be imported from either bridge or lightroom.
PROS: When I discovered that this platform constantly updates and upgrades, I knew it would be the best choice, especially in today's environment. On top of that, our clients and we were very impressed with how it kept everything organized. This is worth spending money on.
CONS: A lot of patience is needed when you're first setting this up because it does take a long time.

The NetX staff is amazing, and their onboarding support was top-notch. It was really helpful to get properly acquainted and set up properly.
Overall, speed could be improved. It very well could be my work's firewall, but it's sometimes laggy.
We've invested heavily in photography, and we had lost a ton of images on drives and servers. We're realizing we don't need to shoot several things by discovering existing assets. Sharing and searching the images is saving us hours of time every month.
