Mineral's platform is packed full of valuable features, training content, and HR resources far beyond what we expected. thier Tech and HR support folks are knowledgable and responsive. The platform itself is easily navigated, user friendly, and relevant to so many inductries!
Learning how to run reports for training tracks was a little confusing. This is the only thing I can think of that may be able to be improved upon. Once you figure out the "HOW", running the reports are simple :-)
Annual and new hire Safety trainings have never been easier or more thorough! We are the reciepiant 2 years running for MBASK GRIP on Safety Excellence Award , and a big part of that is the Mineral Safety Training features. We have also improved our exit Interviews and HR documentations for all sorts of situations thanks to Mineral.
I appreciate the way the professional from Mineral quickly understood and responded to my question with a thorough answer. I could tell that I was talking to someone with the appropriate skills and knowledge.
The downside is that there is a slight delay in answers. It is less of a chat experience, but these drawbacks are not substantial.

When we have an HR issue that we are unfamiliar with we are able to contact an expert who provides guidance on how to handle the situation. This allows us to have confidence that we are handling the situation appropriately and without bias. We have had unusual questions come up such as a request by an employee for an expensive chair to avoid back problems. We were able to receive guidance in this area.
In addition, we are notified of changes to laws which allows us to know well ahead of time what changes we need to make to polices in order to stay compliant and allows us to look ahead. We were recently notified about an important change to state law in Nevada that will happen in the future regarding a state run retirement program for employees.
We use other features on the platform as well such as training.
I have used a lot of Mineral's features, the various templates for forms and the company handbook builder are very helpful in making sure I am using the correct legal language and not missing anything. The endless resources on HR-related topics are very useful as well. However, I would say the most helpful tool has been the HR hotline. The answers to my questions are always clear, and leave no confusion or doubt. The hotline has helped me get through some tricky situations, and I am very thankful to know I have this resource at my disposal.

Mineral has answerd all of my HR questions and provided me with a sense of security in knowing I am doing my job correctly and correctly following all laws/guidelines.
As a small business owner having a resource to discuss HR matters with is invaluable. They are knowledgeable of state specific HR issues and I have learned so much from Mineral. They also assisted with developing our Employee Manual which literally saved us thousands of dollars.
So far, I haven't found a downside. They have so many resources, templates, etc that I can't imagine there being much to dislike.

The content is updated and helpful. I also like the catalog.
We have to input employee emails manually, one by one, to give them access. It would be easier if you could copy and paste a list.
The harassment training requirement is in both languages (English and Spanish). That solves the language barrier that we have with other platforms.
I use the compliance area of the website to stay current with new laws and regulations across the states our company operates in. The training courses have been key in helping us stay compliant with Harassment training. The Salary Comparison tool has been extremely helpful during our annual review assessments. I've also chatted with an Expert when needed. Love having that access!
The customer service has been outstanding. Recently we lost access to Mineral through one provider, but gained access through another provider. We didn't skip a beat...Customer Service was so helpful in moving over all our trainings and status for each so it was seamless.
I wish there was spanish offerings for every training course. I wanted to roll-out the Active Shooter training to all employees, but wasn't able to include our spanish speaking employees.
Are we paying our employees what the market reflects? Yes. We want to be sure we're retaining and attracting top talent.
I love the SMART handbook, I no longer have to worry about making sure every policy is up-to-date, Mineral sends out notifications on policies that have changed or new policies are now in place.
If I had to pick anything, i'd say sometimes the advice given by the HR Experts is very conservitive. I completly understand but being an newly inroducted HR Department of One, I need a little more direct guidence and not that it's a bad thing, Mineral errors on the side of caution when it comes to advice.
The handbook is a huge help. The fact that I'm alerted anytime a policy is updated or added is amazing. You can actually view your text and compare it to the updated verbiage before you accept or dismiss the alert.

The UX/UI design is a little clunky; I'd like to see the advice section be more front-and-center which is the primary reason I frequent Mineral. Otherwise, not much in terms of complaints.
The ability to help answer vague and unclear questions that might not have legal precedence yet. Espcially in states that are constantly adding new employment laws.
