"Microsoft Word is the best word processing software out there, IMHO!"
What do you like best about Microsoft Word?

Microsoft Word works great on a Windows Laptop, Chromebook, iOS Device, and Android. No matter what device I'm using or have handy, it just works. The ability to seamlessly transition from device to device is my favorite feature. If you use Windows and have the appropriate subscription, then you have options for using a client version of MS Word which I think works better than all the online and mobile app versions. Microsoft has definitely made Word the word processing industry standard by making it readily available on all devices vs locking it down to just Windows. Additionally all the features work very well and continuously get better. A simple example is the Editor. MS Word just used to a spell check and then they added a grammar check and then they added a conciseness check and wrapped it all underneath a single Editor tool. It's this type of continuous feature additon and refinement, especially now under a SaaS model in Microsoft/Office 365, that makes Microsoft Word the best word processing option out there.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Word?

The only thing I dislike about MS Word is that the online version isn't as robust as the client version, which means there are situations where I have to wait until I have my Windows laptop to make specific edits. I would prefer if both versions were identical in features and functionality. While I understand that it may not be possible to reach parity since the online version has to be a "lighter" to work well on chromebooks and mobile devices, it limits Windows usefulness.

What problems is Microsoft Word solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use MS Word to document any communication and deliverables to clients and customers. And we use it internally to capture operational procedures and processes. We also use it to make edits to documents that either start as PDF files or need to be eventually become PDF files. So we will convert PDF forms to MS Word to be able to update them more quickly and allow our consultants to make updates since not all of them have a PDF editor.

"Just Great"
What do you like best about Microsoft Word?

Microsoft Word helps us leave and save the important notes that we need on our daily program. We can also add highlights, colors, and designs on the fonts and terms that need attention.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Word?

Non so far. I just encountered latency, but it is no longer under the platform's control. Maybe it is due to my device being used.

What problems is Microsoft Word solving and how is that benefiting you?

This served as a storage of the notes I needed; especially I needed a script in front of me while taking phone calls.

"Daily bread for text document creation!"
What do you like best about Microsoft Word?

I personally love the grammar and spelling review tool as well as the referencing integration with Mendeley for academic work.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Word?

It requires a good amount of training to handle the software to a good extent. Then again, it is also adaptable to needs and abilities of the user subject to the frequency of use. Also multiuser collaboration is a bit tricky.

What problems is Microsoft Word solving and how is that benefiting you?

When it comes to creating a document, Microsoft Word is always the first go to. Every school trains students to become capable in using this platform, therefore the global sense of the microsoft package in specifically Word, makes for this software to be understood and practical across the board.

"Scrivener allows seamless integration with word"
What do you like best about Microsoft Word?

Apart from being a sort of industrial standard for word processing, it integrates with a variety of software packages that generate epub and other formats. It also has a nifty spell checker and grammar checker. Though the latter could be improved.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Word?

There's not a great deal to deslike, once one gets over the oddities like having to save before editing a comment doc.

Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Word:

Read the instructions first

What problems is Microsoft Word solving and how is that benefiting you?

Straightforward epub generations, and sharing documents

"Ease Of Integration With Microsoft Word And Adobe"
What do you like best about Microsoft Word?

I've used Microsoft Word since the Windows 98 days. From that time until now and beyond, I will use Microsoft Word as my main processor. With the updates that have been recent with this softward, I'm glad I'm able to do more than just word process. I'm able to convert it to such files as older Microsoft Word documents, rich-formatted text, and as a .pdf file. I love the fact that I can embed files such as Excel and Outlook into Word, and vice-versa. Adding Adobe was so easy and quick -- an added plus to the software.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Word?

I remember that Microsoft Word and the other Office Suite software wasn't a part of a subsciption. Though I understand why it's done, for me it was a lot easier when not having to deal with it being part of a subscription.

What problems is Microsoft Word solving and how is that benefiting you?

I'll go back to the beginning of the pandemic when small-business grants became readily available. That was also when for the first time there were so many small-business grants available. When it came to editing, converting, sharing documents during doing anything virtual, Microsoft Word was my go-to. I was able to use Word for editing of answers for small business grants, to copy forms in order to fill them out, to convert those files into .pdf files, and to resize and edit picture files. As stated before, when there was a time I needed anything I was doing to be versatile, Microsoft Word and the other software were reliable. Having Adobe integrated with Word made when I needed to do easier and took less time. Though all of the featues aren't on the online version, I surprising discovered during the beginning of the pandemic that I could still do what needed to get done.
