Microsoft has evolved this product over a number of years, and it has nicely matured over time. There are several great features within the product, and the interoperability and sharing between projects is very helpful in day-to-day work for our project managers. Budget tracking is nicely done.
While the project capabilities in the product have evolved to a mature state, the portfolio capabilities are still evolving. Microsoft needs to emphasize allowing customers to manage project portfolios in a data-driven, analytical manner: project cost, complexity, and risk for a few examples. Most of the portfolio products out there are comparable so it is not like Microsoft is behind, but that is the most difficult aspect of our deployment.
