I love OneNote! It's literally my favorite organizational tool to use at work and at home. It allows me to stay organized with tasks, ideas and work-in-progress. I love that I can easily send emails to OneNote and keep them forever with "Send to OneNote" in Outlook. The two apps work seamlessly together, which makes life so much easier.
There isn't much I don't like about using OneNote. However, if I could make a suggestion it would be for all the different platform applications to have the same features and functionality. Right now, only the PC desktop version has all the bells and whistles. Mac, Mobile and the Online versions are lacking in functionality.
It helps me stay on top of all things!
I love that it auto synchrinizes to the cloud where it can be seen by others with access. Anotations allow people to see what has been contributed by others.
I like how a teams document is a living document that grows. Its not a stale text document that outdated the moment it is created. Search function is excellent.
I also like the shortcuts that can be shared within the documents.
Office 365 OneNote addresses the issue of requiring a good storage location and access control. Prior to cloud, OneNote needed folder permissions for admission control.
OneNote allows for fast access to product documentation and user guides for advanced systems.
We can store the notes of text and images as a notebook page. We can create multiple chapters and those chapters can have n number of pages. Using OneNote life became easy to keep short and long notes or useful information.
Sometimes the width of the page goes very long specially we paste any image, there should be an option where we can set the width of the page.
I need not to memories soo many things. OneNote makes the things handy for me on mobile and desktop.
OneNote keeps us organized and allows us to keep all of our meeting notes and brainstorming in one place no more searching through people's hard drives or other storage locations.
Sometime bringing in the meeting details is a little glitchy I wish they would make this a smoother addition
Keeps all of the teams information together in one location. No more wondering where something is saved or losing it when it's on a personal hard drive. It's easy to refer back to previous meetings and brainstorming sessions due to the menu functionality.
MS OneNote comes with very nice and structured way to organize the notes
There are a number of additional features that we don't use/aware of, sometimes surprises
Integrates well with MS products and others
User friendly and easy to use interface
Mobile version is as good as the desktop version
There is not much to dislike about Microsoft OneNote, we always had a great experience and found the app to be more than useful. If I still have to pick a negative point- while using basic features is easy, but it might need some education to use OneNote to its fullest potential
MS OneNote is a very useful tool that's helping me organize and manage my day to day tasks. The fact that the data is stored in cloud means we can access the notes from anywhere in any device, that's pretty neat
I like the fact that they make my life easier my organising my tasks and keep my board clean. I can separate my priority task from the rest with colours and also separate them by priority.
There is nothing to dislike I mean it is perfect for me. It keeps me organise and also makes my life easier and I find my stuff quickly. It gives me a lot of thing is one note.
There is nothing wrong with Microsoft notes, i love it and I will recommend it to my family and friends. It keeps my work clean and makes sure that I prioritise my work based on colour I give them.
OneNote for me, has become the most valuable app in the entire Microsoft 365 Suite offering. I use this amazingly powerful app all day every day. It is well worth viewing a few YouTube videos on the incredible array of built-in features. You will find fantastic organizing and time-saving uses that will truly surprise you. First this is a one-stop for all notes, thoughts and planning organization. I create a "Notebook" for each organization or major project. Then "Folders" for each ongoing topic, and within the folders "Pages" for notes. The pages can be organized in an outline style with indented subpages to better organize conversations, plans, ideas, activity. This can be stored in the cloud and accessed on any Apple or Android device as well as PC, and all synchronize for simultaneous use! OneNote is on my iPhone, Galaxy S23 Ultra, Samsung Tablet, Dell laptop, MacBook & Desktop PC and all share the same information and notebooks.
You can hand write text and convert to fonts, make drawings, record both audio and video and embed in any page. For example, you can place a mic and or cameera in a conference room and record the entire meeting.
OneNote links with all other Microsoft Office apps and you can embed Word, Excel, Publisher files and more into OneNote. You can email pages or clips or provide access to the entire notebook to others for collaboration. You can insert virtually any file including PDFs, images, video, audio and even program files into any page. There is a Translation tool that can translate text or a full page. You can perform both screen clipping and screen recording. There is a Transcribe tool that not only converts speech to text, but can also take a search term and point to the appropriate place in the recording. You can have multiple authors and quickly locate items by author. Each page can be custom formated with templates for a variety of different uses. The layout is customizable for location of page & folder tabs as well as toolbar selections.
OneNote automatically saves each notebook by default in OneDrive locations that over time can vary. I have multiple OneDrive accounts due to business and personal Office and email accounts and knowing which one to look for when opening notebooks can require a bit of research. However, you can move the files to a preferred location. Over time as the product expands and grows I've found little to complain about!
My Go-To for EVERYTHING. I keep notes & recordings of meetings, segregate projects and activities by separate notebooks, each of which are instantly accessible, organize plans, to-do lists, screenshots, videos, web pages and links and so much more. Outlook Meetings automatically integrate with OneNote allowing me to easily manage notes and projects by meeting. With the collaborative tools I can share with others and access on virtually any desktop or mobile device. Adhoc notetaking is a breeze no matter what device I have handy. I can grab any portion of a webpage or screen to save. I can take notes or spreadsheets from here and instantly move to Word and Excel, and viceversa. Graphs, hand drawn notes can be saved and shared.
What I like best about OneNote is how easy it is to use compared to other apps, where you might need to watch a tutorial to fully understand all the options. Also, I love that with OneNote, I can easily access my notes anywhere using just my Microsoft account. I use it to store important notes, business plans, and to keep vital information organized.
I've been using OneNote for what feels like forever, and I honestly don't have any complaints. The interface is simple and easy to understand. It's pretty straightforward, and I've never encountered a complication while using it.
Before using OneNote, I used to keep important notes and information either printed or handwritten in folders. It was really easy to lose vital information and hard to stay organized. With OneNote, I know I have all the important stuff securely organized and saved in one place, and I can easily access it.
Microsoft OneNote is a remarkable organizational tool that truly stands out. Its ability to create notebooks, sections, and pages makes it incredibly easy to store and organize my notes. Whether I'm jotting down quick ideas or working on complex projects, the flexibility and hierarchical structure of OneNote keep everything well-ordered and accessible. Another highlight is its cross-platform compatibility, enabling me to access my notes seamlessly from various devices like my Windows PC, Mac, iOS, or Android phone. This has been a game-changer for my productivity, allowing me to work on my notes wherever I am, ensuring I never miss out on any important ideas. Furthermore, the integration with other Microsoft Office applications is seamless, saving me time by effortlessly importing and exporting data between them. Lastly, the collaborative feature has been invaluable for group projects and team collaboration, as multiple users can work on the same notebook simultaneously in real-time. OneNote's versatility, customization options, and collaborative capabilities make it an indispensable tool for me.
While Microsoft OneNote has many strengths, there are some areas that could be improved. The mobile app version of OneNote, while useful, lacks some of the advanced features found in the desktop version. This limitation can be frustrating when I'm on the go and need access to all the tools available on my computer. Additionally, OneNote has a steep learning curve, especially for new users. With so many features and customization options, it can be overwhelming to get started. Some users might find it challenging to make the most out of the software without investing significant time in learning its intricacies. Another drawback is the limited export options. OneNote doesn't offer many choices for exporting notes to other applications or platforms, making it difficult to seamlessly transition my work into other tools. Furthermore, maintaining formatting consistency across different platforms or devices can be problematic, as sometimes the formatting may change when notes are viewed elsewhere. Lastly, storing data on Microsoft servers might raise data security and privacy concerns for some users. While Microsoft has taken steps to ensure security, some individuals may prefer a more localized and private storage option for sensitive information.
Microsoft OneNote is a powerful solution that brings immense benefits to my life and work by effectively solving various organizational challenges. With its intuitive interface, I can create notebooks, sections, and pages to store and structure my notes, ensuring easy access to critical information whenever I need it. The cross-platform compatibility allows me to seamlessly switch between devices, keeping my notes synchronized and accessible from anywhere. Integration with Microsoft Office applications streamlines my workflow, enabling smooth data exchange between different tools. The real-time collaboration feature fosters efficient teamwork and group projects. While there are some challenges, like limited mobile functionality and a learning curve for new users, the overall advantages of OneNote, such as improved productivity, seamless organization, and enhanced collaboration, make it an invaluable tool that greatly benefits my personal and professional endeavors.
