Complex Initial Setup and Configuration, Occasional Policy Sync Issues, Limited Third-Party App Support , Inadequate Reporting Capabilities
Microsoft Intune earns high praise from users for its seamless integration with other Microsoft products, particularly Office 365. Its user-friendly interface makes it easy to navigate and manage devices. Furthermore, its comprehensive security features and robust mobile device management capabilities ensure data protection and compliance. However, some users have expressed concerns regarding its occasional performance issues and limited customization options. Overall, Microsoft Intune stands out for its strong integration, user-friendly design, and robust security, making it a reliable choice for device management.

Very in depth GUI for many settings and policies you can apply to devices, install apps without ever the need to connect to the computer, just assign a user to a group.
autopilot also make sure your employee's compute is ready to work with his software and everything he needs preconfigured.
Integration with Apple devices is not very intuitive. other than that, it is one of the best MDM tools out there.
They are solving the problem of working on each computer to install all the software the user needs.
After the user verifies his identity by connecting to his (work or school) account,
the operating system connects to Intune and downloads all the necessary apps and configurations according to the policy the user have.
Formatting the computer with a push of a button without touching the computer.
The seamless integration between Intune and the wider MS 365 and Entra suites.
The barrier to entry and associated setup time is very low, resulting in a seamless experience to introduce MDM and MAM capabilities to a hybrid, cloud first working environment.
Some of the more advanced features require an E5 license.
Intune enables both our in house and remote devices to be securely managed and actively monitored via central policies.
The adoption process is very friendly, I can erase the phone or tablet if it is stolen and manage the device's security from a unified console. Doesn't need a VPN connexion to manage the équipment.
I don't have access to all the phone or tablet Android functionality. Sometimes the geo localization doesn't work very well, and if the user erases the phone is difficult to re-onboarding the phone.
Security of the phones and controlling the information that can be shared. Without the input of the client, I can stop any share suspicious or use the internal e-mail to enroll the device.
I appreciate Microsoft Intune's seamless integration with Microsoft 365, offering comprehensive mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM) solutions. The platform's user-friendly interface and robust security features make it a valuable tool for ensuring a secure and efficient mobile device environment.
While Microsoft Intune excels in many aspects, I've encountered challenges related to the complexity of certain policy configurations, and occasional delays in policy enforcement can impact the real-time responsiveness of device management.
And personally, I face issue like - It tags all my MS apps as "work apps" i.e. keeps all apps under work profile, which is like hijacking the apps.
Microsoft Intune effectively addresses challenges in mobile device management (MDM) and application management, providing a secure and centralized solution. This benefits me by streamlining device management tasks, ensuring compliance with security policies, and enhancing overall control and visibility over the mobile device ecosystem. The platform's seamless integration with Microsoft 365 further contributes to a unified and efficient management experience.
Microsoft Intune is one of the best cloud platform management tools to protect admin and user account access from single place. It used to configure policy for device and increase security standards to access our corporate network.
It will provide best security for device to access our organisation application or website with authorised network.
Sometimes endpoint authentication for device issue regenerate and getting same error then we need to rejoin device.
Intune has an absolute vast ammount of capability to manage devices. Starting with the acquision and on boarding phase, auto-pilot alows intune to enrol devices directly from factory into the company. MDM/MAM allows personal or devices introduced at a later stage into the organization to join the domain as well through the company portal app. Once a device is InTune enrolled, software, policies, and updates can easily be deployed to the fleet as you see fit. If there isn't a prebuilt function (which there almost always is) then you can also deploy your own powershell code through the app management. In addition to workstations the mobile device management allows easy control over company enroled mobile devices. In our org we need to ensure each user in the field has a company phone outfit with the appropriately configured software straight out of the box. Before InTune device configuration and deployment cost about 3-5 hours / unit and to save time this was done in batches. We would routinely have 'prep week' dedicated to setting up assets to be deployed at a later date and these prep weeks would be performed every fortnight to ensure updates were in place. With InTune we have regained countless hours back to our labor pool that can be spent solving real problems. With a quick enrolment, the device configures itself and is ready for business every time. For some of your more executive staff, you can even have the device arrive brand new in box from the factory to the staff member directly without going through the service desk and the user can have the white glove experience of being the first to touch their fully custom work machine.
InTune is a massive technology and as such deployments and configuration changes can take some time. When a change is made inside of InTune at the longest it can take a day for the change to propagate down to the user devices. However, adequate planning and testing (create your lab enviroments!!!) can ensure you are prepared for this and ensure your configurations are ready for production the first time.
The biggest solution InTune has provided us is time. An investment of a few work days to configure and deploy to our lab enviorment has returned hundreds of hours of labor over a few months. The return goes forever into the future with potentially thousands of labor hours saved over the next decade from technicians not having to manually configure and deploy devices at the service desk. There is plenty of documentation from microsoft to cover all features in detail as well.
My favorite thing about Microsoft in tune is the ease of updates. Microsoft has a phenomenal rollout of their monthly and feature updates through intune to Windows devices. It is much better than any MDM for macOS or other platforms in that aspect.
Unable to remote lock Windows Devices, this is available for other devices.
It allows us to modernize our workforce and implement policies on computers for our remote workforce.
1. The user interface is very swift and easy to understand.
2. It's high availability and perfect categories for each kind of devices.
Microsoft need to still work upon the third party updates and firmware update part too.
It is an MDM tool so to manage an endpoint becomes very easy for an admin. Also because it's a Microsoft tool and so can be used with SCCM as a hybrid environment.
Allows us to set up profiles for our mobile devices (iPhones and iPads) and allows different configurations for different device groups. Can be very granular or wide-ranging, depending on requirements.
It can take a fair bit of learning to set up policies in the first place, and there are a raft of settings that can be applied with the iOS configuration. A bit more of a 'guided' approach or wizard would be advantageous.
Deploying group configurations across a number of Apple devices across our business - pushing out apps, restricting access to disallowed apps and preventing users from adding their own iTunes accounts so we don't end up with devices activation locked
