PROS: Mention happens to be the simplest approach to tracking any indivdual or brand that makes a mention of your brand and/or products. It does a very good job on its own.
CONS: I dislike the part where Facebook refuses to do any mention tracking. Obviously, that's an issue that needs to be taken up with Facebook. Sadly, Mention can don't anything much.
I love being notified when people are talking about our website! it searches sites small and big
Sometimes I find links talking about us before mention does, the ability to exclude my own social media would be nice.
It's great to see what people are saying about us good and bad. We learn from the bad input and applaud the positives.
PROS: Mention enable me to carefully listen to conversations made by my customers. It carried me to interesting stories and better insights. It constantly informs me of the latest reviews and topics of my company's products. It saved me lots of time and is way better than the other tools I've used.
CONS: Mention has catered to my needs well. It would be a plus if they had some sort of a mobile app set up so I can carry on with things while I'm away from work.
Mention.com can help you track any of the brand mentions on social media, blogging websites, forums, etc.
Nothing that I can think about. Truly an amazing tool.
To track the public PR happening to social media we used mention.com. The tool is able to track any of the branded/non-branded keywords added to the tracker. We were able to resolve a few of the customer issues very quickly using the tool.
Mention.com can easily pick up social chatters from multiple sources like social media, local forums, & blogs. The pricing is relatively cheap for the functionality of the tool.
At times, filters do not work properly. Rest everything is good.
The tool works well for large organizations. Not sure how this works for a smaller firm.
We recently got listed. We wanted to keep a check on the social chatters happening on the web. Mention.com served the purpose.
We do a lot of local seminars every week. We needed a tool which could pick up this local buzz happening due to the seminars. Mention.com was very helpful for doing this activity. It can pick up buzz from almost anywhere - Twitter, Facebook, Blogs, etc.
By far, this is the best tool, and I cannot think about any shortcomings.
This tool might not be ideal for a very small brand.
Any negative PR on the web could be easily captured using Mention.com. Although we are relatively a small company, it helps to resolve any negative reviews.
PROS: Running a busy business, I love the ease of use when it comes to mentions. I subscribed to a free account and was able to jumpstart immediately. The UI is direct and clean. The tool did exactly what I wanted it to do. Put these aspects together and you've got a winning combination.
CONS: I badly miss the icon that lets me identify any unrelated mentions. But not all is lost. There are other options on how you'd want to categorize a mention and how you want to play around with it.
PROS: I was completely overwhelmed with the high number of mentions online. Keeping up with them is a big chllange when you don't have people tagging you. Mention came in to the rescue to help monitor online conversations of my tour and album. The tool simply sends me an e-mail alert whenever I get mentions. Customer service is important for me. And Mention didn't disappoint!
CONS: If there's anything bad I'd say about Mention, I would lay it all here. But at this point, there's absolutely that I don't like. If you're able to integrate Buffer into the Mention dashboard to post scheduling, then you've got yourself a nice workflow.
PROS: I like how simple it is to utilize the interface as well as the constant upgrades you get with the product as you move along. In addition, they lend a helping hand in setting you up with keyword monitoring.
CONS: There's really not much to like with Mention. But it would be nice to have further integration with other products or some kind of autoamted software intended for marketing use. I'm just being picky though. But all in all, I really don't have any problems with Mention.

My company's marketing department uses mention regularly since it is pretty good at finding places where our brand is referenced and discussed on various social networks and everywhere else on the internet. Mention is simple to set up, and the tool has quickly moved from development to production. For consumers, everything is made simpler by its user interface because it is so simple to grasp and utilize.
Aesthetics are crucial and the user interface design might use some work. I haven't run into any issues with functionality, and it works well for us.
Mention has made it easier for us to monitor what is being said about our firm across all social media platforms and pretty much everywhere else on the internet. A very helpful feature of Mention is the ability to subscribe to email reports. Its capabilities have all met our requirements.
