We've used Megaventory for many years and it keeps getting better with each new version. It has all the features we need as a small business with hundreds of SKUs. We find the serial # function to be really essential for tracking our finished goods. The UI is easy to navigate and it's generally easy to figure out how to use new features without viewing the online help. While none of our employees are formally educated in inventory management we all are able to use it successfully. Whenever we run into the rare bug, Megaventory is very quick to respond and resolve it.
While functional and relatively easy to navigate the UI is a bit clunky / outdated. They could probably benefit from having a dedicated UI / human factors designer. For example, when searching inventory it's not that obvious that you may be filtering based on inventory location.
We are able to precisely track our inventory with staff not trained in this area.
What I like the best is that only a few filed are required when defining products, suppliers and categories. However a plenty optional ones are available. This makes the system flexible for small startups and bigger companies. We save time with this system and make the work done.

Also, the localization options are the best I've seen in any software, you can literally change any section to use the phrasing that best suits your organization.
The UI used to be a bit old style but it's been renewed in the last couple months and it looks great now!
Make sure you understand the interactions with Quickbooks before doing the initial sync, as quickbooks is not very forgiving is anything is configured in the wrong way. Talk to the MV support team and they'll get you sorted out.

For us, after 4 years is the best and most versatile stock management system! Having everything in the cloud we dont care about backups :-)
