PROS: Signing up into this platform has brought a lot of opportunities in my business. It gives me the flexibility to book appointments by merely entering all the details into the system. My clients can also do the same and choose their preferred time through the online portal. Instead of handling the phone and working behind my computer for eight hours a day, I can do other things to entertain walk-ins and focus on customer service. Online bookings are the best because I can secure advanced payments, and there are also fewer chances of cancellations. I consider myself lucky to be using MassageBook because it gives me full visibility of my business from sales reports, daily schedule, queries, etc.
CONS: Adding and implementing special promotions can be a little bit cumbersome on my end. I want to give my clients more freebies instead of discounts, and I’m having challenges applying the promo code into the system.
I love that Massagebook offers such a variety of business tools, not only can I schedule my clients, they can schedule themselves online too! Saving me precious time to focus on other tasks. Massagebook also integrates with square making check out and deposit into my bank safe and easy.. did I mention they also have a sales tab? I can check my sales and reports. Loving their email marketing campaign I have autopilot emails set to go out after a new client books to ask for a review and I have accumulated ALOT of reviews.. more then. I ever would on my own. Over the years it has helped change and shape the way I run my business.
I wish I could color code services and that I could use the promotions to offer free add ons instead of having to choose a percentage off.
Massagebook will not only save you time with online booking and automated reminders, take advantage of their email marketing plan, be sure to have review email setup to go out after a new clients first visit, I wouldn’t have nearly half the reviews if it wasn’t for that email. The customized intake form it also a time and money saver.. it helps you establish boundaries and accountability.. dealing with way less late cancels and no shows. Also on the dashboard use the graph and set yourself monthly sales goal! It’s a great way to challenge yourself and when you reach that goal how accomplished you feel. I could go on, there are so many great tools.. you can’t go wrong in getting a subscription it pays for itself.
Online booking.. I have gained new clients that fine me online. I have it set that all clients who book online need to prepay. It saves me time on the phone back and fourth because when I’m in a session, I can’t answer the phone. The prepay helps ensure they’re coming in. Also with their email and text reminders and customizable intake form I have noticed a significant difference in late cancels and I haven’t had a no show in quite some time! I can’t tell you how much time I have wasted precious years on no shows or late cancelling not only wasted time but lost revenue. Massagebook is a very professional and easy way to help create boundaries and accountability..
PROS: When I started using this platform, it really made spa management easier and more efficient for me. There are a number of things I like about it, such as it is cloud-based and very user-friendly. I am also impressed how clients lists can now be accessed from a central location, which has made my work easier to do. I also like their features for financial and employee management, as well as their billing tools. Their marketing and product management is also something that I appreciate.
CONS: A better-looking interface is something that they could work on because the current one looks boring. It can use a splash of color to brighten up. While I liked that their dating portal could be linked to our business website, I think a better solution would be if they provided us with an app instead. I'd like to see these points included in their future versions.

at my job, we are virtual receptionists. We have to schedule for many different massage companies and learn lots of different scheduling systems, and this is my favorite! It is so simple and having times blocked off is the best thing for my job! Finding and scheduling is so easy and so is looking up customers. I absolutely love the different colors which makes it so easy to look at and automatically be able to see everything.
My only really big complaint is how it automatically goes to the personal calendar and not the business, when the personal one isn't even used. It isn't a big deal, but it would be the only thing I could think to change.
I really recommend this, it's so easy that if you have a receptionist, an answer service, or anyone else that helps you keep your schedule, this will minimize errors so much!
