It's very user-friendly with intuitive options. The Malbek Contrax team is also amazing. I had the best implementation experience that I've had with any system and I attribute that to Brian Garrity at Malbek. He was a pleasure to work with and knew everything about the system and how to make it work for the company (and we definitely have some quirks to our process).
The Mac version of DocMaster isn't the best.
Previous to Malbek Contrax, the company utilized a tedious and manual contract approval process and stored contracts on a Sharepoint site. Malbek Contrax has automated the approval process, increasing productivity and providing an audit trail for approvals.
I like that Malbek allows users to be completely involved in the workflow process. I appreciate that it provides notifications for each step of the workflow and advises requesters of where their request is at all times. The system is easy to use and very functional regarding the overall contracting process. The AI of Malbek allows us to take our contracting process to the next level by providing a visual workflow to users. It is interactive, and the helpful hints and funny lines make Malbek a fun system for daily work.
As with any system or technology, improvements can always be made. I want Malbek's administration team to take more interest in what is helpful for my specific company that may not be the general use of the system. I think more consideration should be made for the way different businesses approach contracting and perhaps re-evaluate if some of the Malbek processes are efficient for a specific company. For example, when the requester is at the signature stage looking to send a document for signature, Malbek shouldn't advise that the current Word document is a supporting document when that is the document that will be used to finalize the contract. It isn't obvious and is very confusing. Also, the interface between DocuSign should be more evident to the user, and the pop-up blocker that prohibits adding tags should be eliminated.
The need to have a central location for contracts where all users can review and reference them. Malbek supports the business by providing AI that understands the contracting needs, allowing users to submit their requests and have an entire review team as part of the visible workflow. The comment feature provides the ability for all who are part of the request to communicate with each other while giving those who have access the ability to follow along with the actions of the request.
I like the straight forward/easy to use system. I like how it tracks everything.
There are some steps in the workflow that we could do without.

Malbek Contrax is extremely intuitive and offers not only a full website of support, but people who are accessible to help you overcome challenges or answer questions.
I have not encountered any downsides about Malbek Contrax yet. It's been helpful.
Prior to Malbek, we had no way to efficiently track contract expiration dates and terms. It has also streamlined the administrative part of our contract process, cutting out extra steps and extra work.
I like that it makes it easy for me to communicate between my legal team and prospects when they need redlines or special verbiage. You just upload the documents from prospects, legal makes their edits, and you can send it directly back to the prospect through Malbek. The Slack integration is nice too!
It can be a little clunky at times, but overall it's very useful!
It's solving the problem of sending Terms and Conditions to prospects, having them edit it, me forward the email to legal, etc. Before Malbek it was a lot like the game of telephone trying to negotiate terms with prospects. This cuts down on the process 10 fold.
Great Salesforce Connector - sets up in minutes and now I can map new fields when business needs change without any help from IT. Ability to search both structured and unstructured data is key. I can just search a word or phrase and find if any of our contracts contain it. We had a very successful and smooth implementation and the continued support from the vendor has been great!
Not much to dislike, Malbek has been very receptive to our feedback and enhancement requests, we've been very happy with the experience.
Automating the contracting process - sales can customize their contracts from right within Salesforce and we've configured what requires approvals vs what can go straight to signature.
We have been able to include non-standard processes in the system and that has given us significant productivity improvements.
The process with Microsoft Word is sometimes tricky.
Clearly outline the process steps you want to have implemented in Malbek and the team at least in our case has been able to fulfill all of our reequirementrs. Review different access levels of users carefully so that each function has correct one.

Malbek is great for processing the contracts review/negotiation process. It is an easy tool to operate. The reporting functionality is outstanding. Since implementing Malbek, our understanding of our business and our ability to manage our client relationships has improved dramatically. The support team is responsive and I always have access to live support reps who are knowledgeable and can answer all my questions.
I have been very pleased. The system has been able to solve for all of the use cases that we had when we were considering different proposals from other systems. Nothing has popped up that the system cannot handle.
We have implemented a new contracts framework while implementing this new system. We are able to track contract content in a way that is reportable and sharable to different stakeholders in our business. Access to contract data is key to the success of our business and Malbek has been the key to having access to that information.

Malbek works great when reviewing one contract per workflow, however, sometimes we have larger customers with multiple documents to review and it's harder to manage workflows with multiple documents and it creates more work for Sales if they need to submit each document separately.
We no longer need to track down fully signed contracts - Malbek integrates with DocuSign, which allows us to manage signatures easily and when complete, Malbek saves a copy to our Google drive as well. It also helps us track important data from our contracts and run reports that used to take forever to create manually.
