I love that Lumos allows me to see when it comes to our SAAS apps. The visibility was not present in my org before having Lumos.
The easy navigation, and access reviews, and this is just the start, so much more in the pipeline.
Since Lumos is such a new platform, some of the features that would be beneficial to my org are not available as a whole yet. However, what is available to me, has been completely useful, and time saving.
Lumos is actually helping me understand our current SAAS spend. As well as identifying waste of license in those platforms so we can streamline our spend. This allows up to maximize our usage, and save money with our SAAS to allows to invest that money furtther in to our growth.
Lumos is a great tool for a variety of reasons but what I like best about it is its ease of deployment and use which generates a high adoption rate for users. Makes IT support lives easier via the adoption of the AppStore and makes GRC folks very happy when it comes to show supporting evidence during audits.
I don't have anything I dislike about this product. It's purpose built for what it does and it hits the mark.
Lumos solves the problem of performing regular user access reviews in a way that is highly adoptable by the user population. It also helps create a one stop shop for folks to get their software.
Lumos has been a great tool in our arsenal to implment organization wide role based access. Even with SSO solutions this remains an issue with startups to manage access. Lumos saw the clear gap and built a great solution. It also helps us discover shadow apps and bring visibility to IT spend. Lumos team has been great to work with as well.
They are on the right path to solve the access control issues. I wish to see more integrations with commonly used SaaS apps.
Lumos is helping us to establish role based access and centralize SaaS usage across the organization.
Lumos is an amazing product with an awesome team behinds the scenes that demostrated a world class experience from the intial demo calls, to the scoping/requirements, to the technical details, and down to the full onboarding experience. I highly recommend exploring Lumos as a viable option to meet your business' self-service app store needs.
So far that platform is proven to be successful and met our key requirements established with the Lumos team. To the best of my knowledge, the product is performing as expected.
Lumos offers our internal stakeholders an efficient way to self-service their application needs. The product allows our team to capture the appropriate approvals through multiple channels.
They have captured the most important aspects of SaaS management (Access reviews, SaaS user/license management and Savings reporting).
Some features are immature, like the savings reporting, however they are working to improve their product and have been true to their roadmap so far.
Primarily visilibity into the SaaS estate, but management, reviews and provisioning as well.
Lumos is a one stop shop for ending the reactive SaaS-sprawl going on at many modern companies, and it achieves this with an extremely robust and UX-focused portal.
Slack Integration is absolutely key, changes the game entirely.
Lumos has reduced app provisioning at our company to essentially....a non-task. IT barely has to think about it.
It is a new product, so there are some features still being built. Ultimately though, this has been beneficial to us due to their Product and Customer Success team being SO amazing and receptive to our needs. We have seen more than 3 requested features land in our platform in less than half a year, working perfectly.
1. Lumos SOLVED app provisioning for us, IT barely has to spend time provisioning users now.
2. Lumos is providing extremely helpful insights into app spend and stale licenses.
3. Lumos has increased IT Service Desk's speed in resolving security concerns, as we can now push deactivations to many SaaS apps from one central platform.
4. Lumos has enhanced our ability to involve automated nuanced approval workflows for varying types of apps, and permissions within apps, allowing us to enforce LPA at the front end of a request.
5. Lumos has given us incredibly useful insights into Shadow IT app usage, and an ability to start controlling for that in a user-experience focused way.
Lumos has been a great tool to introduce into our company. We are seeing really high adoption rates across the board and ticket volume for access requests has been low across the board.
Other things great about Lumos:
- Karina is da BOMB
- UI is simple to use on the admin and end-user side
- Seamless onboarding from Day 1
- integrates well with all of our existing systems
- Webhooks! Ability to link to other IT Automation Workflows systems
- Two-Way Sync for Jira and Slack, seamless communication between admins and end-users
- Lumos team has been great to work with!
No major downsides, more integrations is always welcome!
Lumos is solving the following issues for us:
- Access Reviews
- Identity Goverence
- Automate Access Requests for IT
- Keeping our users happy :)
- Reduce SaaS spending with timed access
We recently just launched Lumos. The Lumos support team has been a pleasure to deal with, any issues we had were quickly addressed. Lumos has helped my team save a lot of time handling end-user requests.
Pros:
Self-Service for End Users
Quickly provision access to apps we usually need to log into to grant access.
A quick look at Orphaned/Dormant accounts requires just a few clicks to de-provision those accounts.
It helps identify shadow IT apps that could have been missed.
Cons: None so far.
We haven't found anything we dislike about this product yet.
Self Service for end users needing access to applications
Easy clean-up of Orphaned/Dormant accounts
Saves our team time logging in to each app individually to grant access
- Automation features for auto provisioning and Slack integrations
- Helps to manage SaaS expenses and provides clear visibility
- User-friendly interface that is easy to navigate
- Exceptional support team that provides extensive training during onboarding
- Wide range of SaaS integrations available, with the option to request more if needed
One thing to note about Lumos is that their pricing is not listed on their website. While Lumos is priced reasonably, it can be unclear how much it would cost potential customers to use the tool. This lack of transparency can create confusion and make it challenging for customers to compare Lumos to other tools in the market. It would be helpful if Lumos were more transparent about their pricing and provided clear information about their plans and pricing tiers.

We have automated hapiness.
Typically, policies and procedures are required to get a workforce to do what is best for both themselves and the business. Access requests in particular would normally be maintained through a ticketing system with back and forth between a service desk. A carrot and stick approach, wherein the team would spend as much time trying to pull the different players in a given interaction together, as we would executing the tasks of ticket hygeine and access provisioning. People trying to circumvent this process get repremanded or may even be fired.
With Lumos our end users request what they need, what level of access they think they need, and for the duration of that access. Approvals go to the appropriate stakeholders/business units. The fastest method of getting what someone needs is now Lumos. Circumventing this process is slower, as users would need to set up accounts, licensing, etc.
This ease of use to follow the policy as well as the procedure can only be called a "carrot and carrot" approach.
Lumos has allowed us to transform and modernize. Lumos is great, and evolving for the better all the time. This product is no different than any other initiative that makes an impact. Lumos is going to bring a lot to the table - you are going to need to bring the enthusiasm and desire to evolve. Once you understand how to hook into different platforms and drive the automation, it is amazing.
There is nothing I dislike about Lumos. It is an incredible product.
Lumos has streamlined our most tedious and typically stagnant tickets.
