Simplicity prevails in lòtusnotes which makes it pretty user friendly and easy to use and interact. Not much effort needed to hover around to get the functionality

Lotus notes doesn't provide recent updates atleast in office.No option to select background to help using the same under any circumstance. Video call is not available

The organization is pretty straightforward and has a lot of useful functionalities.

Sometimes the synchronization wasn't instant and you had to refresh.

It helped me be more organized with the meetings, tasks and alao facilitated discussions between me and other coworkers.

Lotus note integrates seamlessly with Exchange Server. The important information can be stored in the Lotus Notes Workspace, which can be used over a period of time

At times there are issues in synching of information between the Exchange server and lotus notes, but compared to the benefit reaped from the integration this is quite negligible

The information in Lotus is sometimes difficult to handle, moreover, it's a legacy email system. Exchange Server on the other hand more user-friendly and the seamless integration has ensured 0 data loss.

Heavy on old machine, means that it will not work well on old computer when running other heavy software such as graphics manipulation apps.

As per my knowledge, Is seems very good choice for business communication. However it may cost you more the competitors.

We used to use it in everyday life to share files which need immediate attention. Moreover ,it has been the mainapp for daily communication via chat.

I have been able to migrate and restore my users' corporate emails without much inconvenience.

I like its old-school charm, unlike its competitor it's simple, not loaded with so many features that you could never use half of them in a lifetime. You can just drop a message to someone he/she can see the notification and can reply to it, that's all. No gimmicks whatsoever. It's a plain vanilla tool, not sure if it can be integrated with some other tool currently back in my days, we could not.

I believe its onboarding was really difficult you have to use a key generated by the system and if you lost that one you either have to search the entire mailbox to get the key or go back to the administrator to generate a new key which can take a significant amount of time and tests your patience. Honestly, I'd never want to go back to using Notes.

Back in the days when we didn't have a lot of enterprise-level IM tools, Notes was one of the best options for colleagues to communicate with peers. When we were getting started with employees getting a laptop instead of a desktop in the office and sometimes wanting to work remotely, Notes was the saviour for them to communicate and exchange ideas and work progress, etc.
