I. Love. Logos. I am a seminary student who aspires to pastoral ministry, and I use Logos bible software nearly every day. Its resources, tools, and functionality are key contributors to my ability to succeed in school and prepare for ministry.
I wish it wasn't so expensive, but totally understand why it is. If I had all the money in the world I would update it constantly. Other than that, I have no complaints.
Use it and use it well!
Logos is providing me with a one stop, digital, easy to use place to do all my Bible research and sermon preparation. It really is an invaluable resource for my life and ministry.
This is simply the best software for studying a researching all things related to the Bible. Logos offers so many resources and features that I believe it is impossible to become an expert in every area. I use the passage guide regulary, and the factbook.
It can be quite a learning curve and also tends to be expensive. Some features are not as well documented, like the sentence diagram tool. I think offering more free video lessons would be benificial.
No business problems are being solved since that is not the nature of the product. But I am solving lots of problems in Bible study. I am able to research in the original languages quicker, find related resources, and perform powerful searches on the Biblical text.
Logos has a wide range of titles giving me access to a library that rivals major seminaries and universities on my computer. All the titles are indexed, making research quick and easy.
Logos requires a lot of storage and memory to run well, and I had to upgrade my computer to keep up with it. If it were less memory-intensive, that would be great
Keep an eye out for the free book of the month they provide, as it can help expand your research library.
I use Logos for sermon research and my academic work. It has saved me weeks in research, making me much more productive. The program's efficiency allows me to spend time on other important matters.
I like that this Bible software is a one stop shop for studying, teaching, preaching and just simple reading
It can be a bit pricey to get all the books and tools that you may want to use.
Yes I would highly recommend this software to others to use if they are serious about studying God's Word
I use Logos to help me in preparing for preacing and to properly exeget a text. I also use the counseling module to help to prepare for counseling sessions.
The ease of use, the multiple windows option, the customization to my bible study needs. Logos has rendered all my other bible study software and print useless. I really love this tool, and it has opened up a whole new world of Christ centered, scholarly supported bible study and research.
It's really expensive, but well worth the price. Sometimes, the updates come with a lot of bugs at first, but they get sorted out quickly.
Just go for it and learn the ropes quickly. They have great instructional videos and onboarding support.
Bible study, space organization (no physical books at the house anymore), and accessing titles that are no where else to be found.
I love the updated platform. It provides a great option for scholar, pastor, or lay-person research. Logos is easy to use and make language study simple
I wish the interface for using multiple versions greek text were cleaner.
It's a great platform. I would recommend using both the web-app and the mobile app because they are faster interfaces than the desktop app. I would just be careful to make sure your PC has enough memory for logos or else it will be slow.
I'm using this to do my study for all of my sermons and biblical presentations
Logos allows you to paste the footnote of information right into your research paper
It takes quite a while to load and to open on your computer
It's a must have software for study and integrates with all other Faithlife products.
I have used it a lot for research and classes but it takes a while to load the program
I like that it copies my irony information straight into Microsoft word
It takes forever to load the program and download the new libraries
None that I know of right now.
Logos has all the resources you can think of in one place. More than you'll probably use. Commentaries, Books, Media, Key Words, Sermon Prep and many more. The dashboard gives a glance at the different sections you can focus on. Devotional Time, Study Time, Sermon Prep Time, Deeper Theological Studies. Take a class, contribute your own information.
It's so much info that you can get a little overwhelmed. Also, the amount of resources causes it to be slow sometimes. Of course that may depend on the computer you are using. There are so many things that can be done that it takes a couple of tutorials to get the most out of the program. But it takes a lot of time to figure that out.
Logos is part of the Faithlife family which integrates the presentation software called Proclaim! That makes it easier for pastors to easily create slides directly from Logos to Proclaim without must effort. In addition the Sermon Editor also gives you the option of creating fill-in-the-blanks handouts.
You'll have at your fingertips thousands of resources: Bibles, commentaries, dictionaries, Greek & Hebrew resources, illustrations, media, devotional reading resources, writing your own notes and prayer lists that you get to create. You can pay over time or all at once depending on your financial ability.
Preparing sermons in a shorter period of time. The resources opens you up to a new world of information that you didn't know existed.

One of the best aspect of Logos is how easy it is to search for anything. There are multiple ways to search, and the results always return accurately and thoroughly. I also enjoy the unending library allowing me to add virtually any book I can think of. And of course, making notes and highlights, organizing them and being able to quickly find them later is a great feature. All in all, I would highly recommend Logos. It allows you to quickly find whatever you are searching for, saving you lots of time searching through books, and also providing information and resources you may not have considered looking for.
Logos does have a learning curve to it. The software is so expansive, that it can take time to get to know all of the tools. But once you spend enough time in the software, it will become second nature. My recommendation would be to customize things for yourself, which will allow you to more quickly become familiar with the interface.
Logos saves me much time and money that I would have spent on resources (books, encyclopedias etc.) elsewhere. Having them all in one easy to use software makes me more likely to get the most out of each resource I do invest in.
