When you choose LifterLMS, you're not just getting a great software solution to build and curate your learning content powerhouse, you're getting an all-star team stacked with people who will go to the mat to ensure your success. Chris, Thomas, and the rest of the team will not let you down.
There is nothing to dislike about this incredible plugin and team. If I were to make a recommendation, it would be for the team to provide more education about instructional design and how to make a course people will actually want to take. The software is not much use if you can't make a good course!
Get the infinity bundle. The weekly mastermind call you will get access to is worth its weight in gold.
We build our learning academy with LifterLMS which consists of tutorials and courses. It takes a few minutes at most to spin up a new course.
Great support infrastructure, timely, responsive and knowledgeable support staff
1) High price, it is very expensive as an annual subscription. 2) Many features require additional plugins something we wanted to avoid.
LifterLMS is a good solid platform.
Converted a few classroom course material as apart of our evaluation and found LifterLMS easy to implement
I've used various platforms for my courses before. They were all fine, right up to when they wouldn't let me do something I wanted to do. With LifterLMS I've never hit a "can't do that" wall. I get to build the environment *I* want, and never feel the platform is forcing me into what *it* wants.
It took me a while to figure out how it all worked. There are constraints that come with being a WP plugin. So... I guess it's hard to create a more intuitive user interface. No problem now... but I remember struggling a bit at the very beginning.
Makes it super-easy to deliver multiple courses. Easy to manage. Easy to track payments. Easy to integrate into my email service etc.
I have been a LifterLMS user for years while also engaged corporately in other tools for learning. It was LifterLMS that blew me away with flexibility, value, and support. I have used Moodle, Udemy, Lynda, Systems Simulation, Bridge, and LearnUpon as well as researched countless others. In a non-WordPress environment, Moodle served well but did not display an engaging UI without substantial customization. With Lifter LMS and a decent page-builder, I can make engaging Learning and Membership sites with a fraction of the time and have ready-to-go functionality with other web-tools.
Truthfully, it's a feature of the platform. There are so many options in the use of Lifter that you can get distracted and get off mission. At first, you think "I just need to get a couple of courses up", but if you aren't careful you will end up building in Social elements, Sales Funnels, and automation that may extend way past the original mission. It's totally awesome that the option is there - but it takes discipline to stay on course.
The advice I give my own clients at Mañana No Mas! when building their Membership and Learning sites... have a plan. Know what you want to build and take measures to grow that community prior to the actual site build. When you have a plan, it makes the process much smoother.
Primarily budget. I have used many offerings that were way outside the scope of the budget I keep with LifterLMS. When I compare one of my premium Lifter packages at retail (Platform, additional third-party plugins, and killer hosting) of around $5,000.00 / year to another corporate budget I am familiar with... I can't help but smile. I know a large company paying over $400,000.00 / year for an outdated SCORM platform. The value of Lifter in this comparison can be the difference between corporate growth or reorganization with Reduction in Force.
Wouah ! Le meilleur service client jamais rencontré ! 🩵🩵🩵🩵

The Course Builder is drag-and-drop, which is great, but on top of that, it's easy to visualize your lessons inside the course. The interface is very powerful while allowing a simple overview. I love the balance they have struck.
We built our whole website on top of LifterLMS and I felt like I must be missing something (I wasn't): it was so easy. I created a course website in a couple of days. It's full-featured, easy for instructors to update, and I'm thrilled with the result.
The LifterLMS team are obviously on top of all the best practices, and it shows in their product.
I was not sure when to apply a tag vs. define a category for courses. This isn't a LifterLMS issue, though! I'm not great with taxonomy.
I asked support, and they recommended the category approach, which has worked really well.
I needed a way to guide users through complex functionality without overwhelming them. I also wanted to showcase different integrations and how some courses related to lessons in other courses.
Our users have found this to be a great way to learn.
