It is a very simple and intuitive product to use. It enables us to save time and to communicate with our key partners in an effective mannger.
Nothing, the tool is very effective as it is/
It is a time saver for us. The price is well worth the investement.
I love the searchable functions and the ability to metatag everything. The software that allows you to tag and rename multiple or all photos at once is genuinely stellar & such a time saver! We all know time is money, which makes that a valuable asset when using PhotoShelter for Brands.
There hasn't been anything that I have come across just yet that I have disliked. If I had to come up with an answer, the FileFlow app for Photoshelter for Brands could use a little updating to make it more user-friendly across any phone type is something I previously requested but I know they've updated it quite a bit and it's amazing! Again, I absolutely LOVE PhotoShelter for Brands & would recommend it to anyone!
The problem that PhotoShelter for Brands solved was the inability to share high-quality images in mass quantities with our sales consultant field. Now that we use PhotoShelter for Brands, they have easy access to all our high-quality images & marketing materials through our branded website or the mobile app!
It completely changed how we store photos, making it easy to upload and tag photos, so they're easily accessible any where, even when we're off campus.
Sending photos to other or downloading multiple photos can be a little redundant, but it's only a minor issue to download then click the link.
If you have no photo storage system beyond saving things to a drive or a drobo, the search functionality and remote use will change how you store photos and how you work.
Our former system was a server which was cumbersome and only available on-campus with no option to search easily. This literally saves hours a month when searching for former players, certain plays or arena/facility shots.
I like how we can all work collaboratively in PhotoShelter. I appreciate the search feature and ease of seeing photos at a thumbnail size.
I wish PhotoShelter had a "recently added" section. Currently, we add new photos to 2 albums- both the one they belong in and a "new photos" album. It's double work because then we have to later go and remove the second file. It can also be confusing to have duplicates when you search for "athletics" and tough to determine if a photo is similar or a copy.
It seems like there are improvements fairly regularly. I appreciate this.
Being able to create folders and subfolders. We have our folders sorted by department and then subfolders of years and categories of images.
Adding people from outside your organization is a little tedious.
Allowing access to a wide group at my company. It allows us to be able to share links to folders so others can browse instead of having to send them all the images to download.
I love that Photoshelter allows you to choose the size of the asset you are looking to download- This cuts out the timley step of editing photo sizes.
I dislike that there is not an intuitive way to download batches of photos- in my experience, I've had to select each image before downloading.
Provides a one stop shop where photos can be stored, and well organized. Users can quickly generate links to share content with teammates and clients alike.
We like the galleries for tagging and sharing with our staff. It is nice that you can add photos to more than one gallery without duplicating the photo and effecting the storage. We also like the password sharing for projects outside of our team.
The tagging can be time on consuming, especially for videos, since you can't take more one at a time. The portal default view is a bit overwhelming with all the extra content showing around the galleries. When you give a gallery different viewing credentials, it will show up as a duplicate.
We are able to find photos more quickly and have them all in one place. It saves time when designing a project as well as sharing photos from various events. It is easy for the team to upload photos without having to use storage on their personal machine.
In recent years Photoshelter has worked very hard to provide integrations that keep workflows at the forefront of the constantly evolving requirement of asset management and storytelling. They provide guidance, support and ideas in equal measure to their clients, whatever their size and most importantly, they care about their business and care about my business.
Would like the ability to set permissions at asset level rather than just gallery and workspace level. Allow templates for metadata to be saved. Allow comments in workspaces to be saved.
When I started with Photoshelter, I held an aspiration of how they could help my small business deliver a point of difference. This has already been achieved and now the excitement is in what comes next. An aggressive programme of development and a willingness to listen ensures that Photoshelter remains relevant today and helps shape capability for the future.
Collaborative working efficiency across multiple clients allows for a secure, robust working environment that allows a degree of end-user self-service and ourselves providing value-added professional services via Photoshelter. They allow me to be efficient.
PhotoShelter allows my creative team to store, catalog, tag, and access our digital assets in a quick, user-friendly way. My team has been able store and access files that have been collected over the past 20 years. The auto-tagging features and the easy organization and tagging tools have allowed us to find assets that we have had no way to find in the past.
I have not encountered anything about PhotoShelter that I dislike. The service has been a great fit for my team.
My creative team has been collecting digital assets for the past 20 years. We have not had the time or resources to organize our assets and PhotoShelter has allowed us to quickly catalog all files so we can easily find, share, and collaborate.

The ease of use and ability to quickly onboard employees and partners.
The cost of certain extensibility packages can be challenging.
We have a large number of visual assets that do not have a comprehensive management solution. In addition, we have a wide variety of contributors to our asset library as well as an extensive archive of material that is not indexed or easily accessible.
We also share a good amount of content with our vendors and PR partners. PhotoShelter provides a holistic approach that meets all of our needs and, in some cases, dramatically exceeds our expectations.
