Automating processes for my users to make their jobs easier and with less paper.
Limitations with taking payment and ther inability to have an outside user update a submitted form. Although working with my payment vendor I believe I have discovered a way to do this also.

The feature I love best is the searching methods. You are able to input so much information that you find exactly what you are looking for without taking too much time.

I would definitely recommend Laserfiche to anyone who is thinking about changing the EMDS they already have or implementing. The engineers who worked for us we fantastic at their jobs and whenever difficulties arose they worked day and night to remedy them.
Laserfiche is HCC's new EDMS. I love it because everything is quickly found and also indexed perfectly. One of the great features is if you are attempting to capture a document into the system it will not allow the document to be imported into the system if it has missing or incorrect information.

When limitations are not set properly, people can mess up the work you created. Also, when you have forms outside your users, there is no way to allow two way communication.

The software is already amazing, but the developer clearly strives to continue improving it by having frequent customer feedback sessions. It's used daily by inexperienced users after minimal training. The developer is very active in their public forums to provide support as needed, on top of a broad provider base who also give great support. The software is capable of connecting to multiple database sources via ODBC, which allows for an external system of record and lookup lists to standardize user entry. Installing, updating, and maintaining the software is fairly straightforward, as is utilizing it for low-code development of processes.

Reporting on Forms Processes is subpar.
Along with document management, we are beginning to use Laserfiche to digitize and automate various approval processes - transitioning from PDFs that move along the approval chain manually with the file being copied and emails for each step to allowing the system to notify approvers without any user being involved.
Easy to access and upload documents to the system
When files are too large it can take too long to upload or will even lock you out. Also when in the upload files, it does not allow you to delete.
