Platform playbooks guide you through the process efficiently and provide lots of guidance. Templates for policies cover all the required bases and can be customized as needed. But the real wins are with the team you get supporting your work - my success manager and compliance architect provided amazing support, input, project management, and guidance throughout the process. Add in the bundling of the review/report fees bundled into your costs, and it gave us a fast, efficient path to completing our SOC 2 type 1 and type 2.

June 2024 Update - completing our second SOC 2 type 2 observation period - the platform has continued to evolve and now integrates the audit, pen-test, risk register, vendor management, and other features together with automatic evidence gathering, along with fantastic integration with the tools we use like github, aws, slack, etc. As usual, the team involved has provided conceierge like service and support, super responsive and knowledgeable.

Most recent (2024) updates to the platform have ironed out integration and interface concerns from the earliest days. No real complaints!

We starting our SOC 2 with Thoropass almost 3 years ago now, first with our type 1 and then type 2. Managing our compliance evidence gathering, policy setup and review, pen-tests, vendor risk management, and security audit requests.

As someone new to compliance, Thoropass has been invaluable. Their team excels at answering questions thoroughly and clearly, making complex topics accessible. Regular meetings with them are more than just check-ins; they're full of essential insights and guidance. Additionally, their comprehensive templates are a godsend, simplifying the compliance process significantly. I have nothing negative to say about Thoropass

Thoropass has been instrumental in simplifying our journey through complex healthcare SaaS compliance requirements, like SOC 2, HIPAA, and HITRUST. Using Thoropass's system, we were able to easily transition through recent personell changes within our own company.

Lots of personal service. Biweekly meetings with the project manager and audit expert as you work through the tasks of developing policies and procedures to achieve compliance. We are a five-person company and we needed lots of advice developing policies and procedures appropriate to our size. We got it from these meetings. We completed our SOC-2 Type 1 audit perfectly.

Followup: they coached us successfully through our first SOC 2 Type 2 observastion period and our audit was perfect. I can't speak highly enough of the team. The results were outstanding.

Believe me I had my moments of stress and worry but the Thoropass team held my hand every step of the way and really put my mind at ease.

Don’t really have anything glaring that I didn’t like but I do think some of the reminders in the platform itself are unreliable. For instance, I can’t really keep up with updating the dates every time we complete an action item.

One of the best things about Thoropass is their support. I had weekly calls with our customer success manager to help keep me focused, answer questions, and guide me to our successful SOC 2 compliance. Any emails I sent were usually answered within a few minutes. Any issues or hiccups were resolved quickly. The few disagreements we had about whether something was in scope for our contract were all resolved amicably and in our favor.

While going through the SOC 2 preparation, I was using Thoropass every day. It did a great job of leading me to the tasks I needed to get done, making sure I was taking care of the most important things first.

Having started knowing almost nothing about SOC 2, I can't say enough about how great the Thoropass experience has been.

The online tool can be a bit unwieldy. You can get everything done but sometimes its hard to know how, or it takes more clicks than necessary to get something done. On the whole, not a big deal. They are making improvements to usability and adding features constantly.

Integration with 3rd party tools is easy to set up but can be a bit wonky. For instance, with our integration to our payroll provider, we have to remember to enter the new person's company email in that system in order for them to show up in Thoropass. Not that big of a deal once you know about it. It's just another thing to remember to do.

We needed to get SOC 2 compliance. Thoropass led us through the process, helped us to understand what we needed to do, both from a process and technology perspective, and got us to a successful resolution relatively painlessly.

SOC Compliance is a very intimitading task. We were hand held every step of the way. I worked with many of their specialists all who are excellent and patient. Ease of use, ease of implementation was on point and they were really competively priced compared to other solutions. What we liked about our experience is that the audit was included as part of the service!

I do not have anything that we disliked. I would recommend them to everyone!

We now can get through due diligence really fast with our potential clients due to the completed SOC compliance.

The support our team received from beginning to end in establishing our policies and procedures, working through integrative partners and penetration testing, and executing our final HIPAA report. Danny Hosek and Erin Conway were available, communicative, and provided clear direction, while also being incredibly relational and encouraging throughout the process.

It was a LOT of policies and procedures at the beginning, but it was still pretty good timing as they synthesized and reduced a lot of their templates during onboarding.
