Outdated User Interface, Complex Configuration, Occasional Bugs, Slow Performance
LabWare LIMS is widely praised for its flexibility, customization options, and robust features. Users appreciate its ability to manage diverse workflows, streamline lab processes, and improve data integrity. However, some find the interface dated and the learning curve steep, particularly for novice users. The need for more powerful computers and occasional slowdowns are also mentioned. While support is generally considered responsive, some users have experienced challenges with troubleshooting and configuration.

The Labware v8 overall. Its UI is super cool.
I do not like the UI of our current version which is v7. We are planning to upgrade in near future.
We have 6 different workflows in the LIMS- Assay request, Clinical and non-clinical sample management, consumable inventory management
Database structure, ease in creating subroutines, template solutions, ELN, and storage location manager.
LabWare support is not always the most helpful in responding to queries, especially when it comes to bugs in LIMS Basic functions.
With ELNs we're able to start moving complex laboratory worksheets from Crystal Report to user-readable excel formulas that they can audit. Tracking standards in SRIM is also immensely helpful for tracks that are required to track the result trends of standards and controls over time. Storage Location Manager is helpful for several of our labs with too many samples in long-term storage and the need to store all that data in a structured, queriable environment.
I like that it is privately owned and not being moved around to other owners via buyouts. I like the flexibility of the software.
I don’t like the dependance on Microsoft Windows. LabWare is database agnostic and it should be OS agnostic as well.
LabWare LIMS helps prevent data entry errors via automation. It creates an environment store lab specific data that can be easily transmitted to other systems and allows for successful audits.

As per my opinion nothing to discuss on dislike about labware LIMS
We can integrate SAP system with LIMS system but to understand the system LIMS we need more Training and KT syte
I love the interaction. We could watch the trainer do something and then do it ourselves. For me, I learn better if i see an example done, then I can do it.
I would have liked more time using the software. Having access to the software.
Data safety. No one can change data without a record being made. I allows me to see who is doing what. Calculations are not a worry.
The process of sample logging-in and data publication is made effortless with this system. Data entry is intuitive and user-friendly, while the system automatically verifies against internal and external limits, reducing the risk of human error. This immediate validation helps ensure accurate and reliable data publication, enhancing the overall integrity of the laboratory processes.
The UI may be occasionally unclear, especially in terms of certain nomenclature, which could cause confusion for users.
Labware LIMS serves as a comprehensive database for storing and managing my laboratory's data. It provides a user-friendly interface that allows me to effortlessly access and analyze the data, and generate reports for management review.
Sample logging-in and data publication. Data entry is easy, and the system immediately checks the internal/external limits minimizing human error. The out-of-spec analysis wont get published until they get approved.
It won't be very easy to teach people how to use the software when we have it installed. Maybe there can be demo videos to teach "users" to run basic command (logging sample, checking results, running reports)
It will help to minimize human error. It will help with record-keeping for calibrations.
It is a great tool. The new version improvements are remarkable.
No downside at all. I think LabWare LIMS is the industry standard.
ELN AND LIMS solution
It is possible to customize the configuration to meet nearly any business need.
The multitude of customization options can make changes difficult at times.
Eliminating paper-based documentation from the lab reduces documentation errors and increases process traceability.

V8 UX interface could look better. Also, a little more ability for customization of the dashboard visual workflows would be nice.
LabWare LIMs allows for storage and tracking of our sample and sample info. All things go through LIMS
