We have recently upgraded to a newer version of KD, though we used the older one for years. Customer service and tech support are phenomenal.
We don't have any major issues with performance or maintenance. It was fairly easy to integrate with Salesforce.com and Salesforce Customer Community. Their tech team was very helpful in designing interaction that met our needs. Using SSO is helpful to our customer community users.
The only thing I'd add is a bit more flexibility with customization. As an admin I'd like to be able to add custom fields and turn on/off certain functionality without contacting KD.
