Knowify is very user friendly, which makes training new users super easy. I allows us to easily manage budgets, purchases, and actual costs.
It integrates with QuickBooks Online seamlessly.
Any questions we ask get an extremely quick and detailed response.
The mobile app leaves a LOT to be desired. There are several small adjustments to the desktop website that could be added to make it even better such as: Unit of Measure on the purchase orders, Inventory tally system, ability to add individual workflow views, and making the subcontractor work order more descriptive just like the the purchases screen showing the unit and UOM breakdown.
QuickBooks is terrible with project accounting and purchase orders. Knowify makes both of those easy and allows us to quickly compare budget against actual.
The platform is lean and agile in getting the data to be useful. Even better is the tech support, where you can actually communicate with a real person.. The tech team is responsive and patient even when I ask rookie questions. On the rare occasion that I stump them, they happily pass along ideas to the development crew who will work them into version upgrades. Or they can tell me that what I ask for is not available (yet). Either way they are uber helpful.
Of course, I would like it to cost less, but isn't that true of everything these days?
Organizing, organizing, organizing.
Namely, it helps us follow through when we have multiple projects going. It keeps us from getting stalled out on that last 10% of the job and helps us get over the finish line.
Knowify changed the way we do things, and allows for accurate daily, even hourly, tracking and profitability of every one of our projects, whether they are $1,000 or $1,000,000. Once we made the decision to partner with Knowify, we were up and running in no time! It was so easy, and their team was there to help us every step of the way. In fact, Knowify support is the best I've ever experienced bar-none! The platform itself is quite intuitive and user friendly. Knowify integrates very well with QuickBooks and is getting better all the time. I have two or three windows open with Knowify at any given time. I also love that the development team listens to our ideas and sincerely considers adding features based on user suggestion.
I would like to see Knowify expand the Service side of the program.
Also, a robust CRM function so that sales can be directly integrated into the system from proposal to payment for services. Right now it is cumbersome to determine commissions. A few more reports would help... espeially from the sales perspective.
Before Knowify, we had no accurate way to measure how productive, and how profitable we are. Now we know! This knowledge gives us the benchmarks we need to define processes, improve productivity, and manage expectations on the jobsite.
Knowify is a great system for our family run small business. It is efficient and user friendly. If I run into difficulty or need to change anything within our system, Customer Support is undeniably the best, particularly Christian Ferruzza!
I don't have any downsides with knowify.
It is an awesome platform for estimating and project management.
The AIA-style billing feature and the integration with QBO are what initially attracted us to Knowify. Over the years Knowify has become an essential tool for running our business. We would be lost without it.
The only thing I dislike about Knowify is that more home remodelers and subcontractors don't know about it.
As an accountant and bookkeeper, my favorite thing about Knowify is that it syncs perfectly with QuickBooks. It gives me what I need on my side for accurate financial reporting, and it gives my clients what they need on their side to run their business.
Excellent budgeting and invoicing features, great customer service and customization avaible when required, very user friendly and interates well with quickbooks
only downside I run into is sometimes invoices/expenses are 1 -3 cents off when intergrating with quickbooks, but this is easy to resolve

The PDF Interface when opening a file is very hard to use.
Access to contract es always easy to find, change orders, etc.
I liked that it is easy to set up a job and very user friendly and that you're able to send your bid directly to your customer. It is layed out in a simply way so no explanation is needed for your customer. I recently had one customer tell how they like our simple billing and invoices from our company.
Very little but that you can't just delete a job maybe.
It solved the problem of going from one program to another when you can do it all in one place.
QuickBooks offers 2-way sync, AIA-style billing, integrations with ClockShark and Tsheets, a dashboard for job profitability monitoring, budgeting, and bidding, and numerous reports.
Improve service ticket program to make it comprehensive; QuickBooks does not match POs in Knowify, requiring manual closure.
We enjoy introducing our building clients to this software and all of its wonderful capabilities. There is, in my opinion, no better job costing app available right now for tradespeople and subcontractors working on commercial construction projects.
