Katana Manufacturing ERP Reviews

We reviewed multiple MRP/ERP systems and very quickly concluded that Katana was by far the easiest to use, which was a number 1 priority. If a system is overcomplicated or difficult to use, then the users and management won't see the benefit of it. Katana ticked all the boxes for us, and we were delighted.

A dedicated Pipedrive integration would be the cherry on the cake for us. Plus an ability to have 'unlimited' stock products for raw materials/bulk items that we have a direct supply of.

Moving away from spreadsheet/paper order and stock tracking to a sophisticated cloud system that allows us to track orders and costs in real-time so we can ensure we are always making a profit.

Does exactly what we need. Easy to use interface, very responsive. Has all the inventory/production features we need. Love it!

I haven't really run into anything we don't like. It hasn't let us down or left us wanting of an absent feature.

Inventory management, primarily. The benefit is obvious :)

The system is intuitive and user-friendly - I like the logical steps to build the initial material, product and BOM data sets (and the tutorial videos to provide easy to follow step-by-step guidance). Katana provides functionality to deal with highly customised products (without the need to create product SKUs for every possible variant combination) - given the majority of my products are customised, this feature is extremely important to me. Easy integration with Shopify and Xero are also important features. And finally, the technical support and sales teams are super helpful and easily accessible.

Additional functionality / features that would be helpful to me include: (a) the ability to integrate Katana and Shopify at the material level as well as the product level [so that material availability could be reflected via Shopify and the front-end website], (b) the ability for Katana to identify a product as being 'out of stock' if one of the materials in the BOM is out of stock - and for this information to be reflected back in Shopify (once the systems are integrated).

Katana is helping me to manage orders and inventory for highly customised and personalised made-to-order products. My business is still too new to assess performance, but I feel confident that Katana will improve my efficiency and allow me to manage inventory effectively.

The team always helps. They listen to my ideas and implement them on their platform. The program is very easy to use. It helps a lot and saves work time when I can track each order's arrival time.

At the moment, I don't like it when after exporting the orders in xlsx format, the products of each order are separated. I would like to have an additional function that does not divide the order by-product and allows exporting only the total amount of each order. It would help with accounting because, at the moment, all ordered products have to be added up automatically, and it takes a lot of time

Katana Manufacturing ERP helps me track all my order activities, store and see product stock status and now analyse my company insights. It saves a lot of my working time.

The ease and accuracy of maintaining the data between sales, manufacturing and inventory.

I wish features came out faster as our needs are better met with each release.

Spend $15,000+ with another program and get far less, or get Katana!

Inventory tracking, allocation, organization, data accuracy, labor and profit management.. to name a few!

Easy to follow workflows; great and simple USer interface.

Flexible approach to building products, variants and BOMs.

API allows for more flexibility and integrations.

No printing link as yet.

Allows conflicting SKU's and barcodes.

Would be good to have a automated inventory transfer function between warehouses ... but these are all solved by API

Consider the API and the "art of the possible". Take time on setup.

We have solved our data inconsistencies in bills of material.

It deals effortlessly with our fast paced and fast changing scheduling.

It has allowed us to integrate our production facilities into our wider system with automation of purchase orders, demand input and helped greatly in forecasting output.

They have thought of everything you should need, and if there's something more you need, you can simply integrate with it to add to it.

By far, the most beneficial of all of Katana's features is its integration and connectivity capabilities. We currently utilize its APIs and webhooks to integrate all of our systems together and not only do they work flawlessly, but they have proven to be reliable.

The single account for a subscription seems a bit harsh. Any company has at least 2 persons on average who may need to access the information on an ERP. The basic subscription should at least include another user.

Definitely utilize the trial to understand whether it fits your needs.

We've integrated Katana into our CRM system and can go from sales (whether on our website or otherwise), through production and billing, all the way to after-sales support and customer satisfaction reporting, all in one connected system. Katana's integration capabilities have proven invaluable in getting that set up and working reliably.
