Kandji's Suppor team has really made their software standout. MDM setup was smooth and easy to roll out to our company. Along the way though the documentation and the Support's ability to articulate and help us thorugh any issues we ran into has what's really made Kandji stand out. Their continued look to the future and rolling out new updates is also appriciated. They are keen to help roll out new idea's that are brought to their attention.
Password management isn't always smooth. Take the time to train your team how to use the password management system and things should smooth out over time.
We needed a solution to manange our fleet of Mac products effeciently with out remoting onto individual machines and doing tasks such as updates. Kandji makes keeping our software and system OS's up to date easy and effecient.
The support team is always willing to work on fixes and scripts for features. Feature requests are directly related to feature deployments.
What I disliked in the beginning related to granularity they have released options to address. Any other dislikes are limitations with Mac/iOS management in general.
Security updates, Data Extrusion, App deployments, Wifi deployments, Imaging, Okta/AD integrations for Mac login
The initial setup and configuration of Kandji was very straightfoward. We were able to successfully pilot the MDM solution and deploy it to all company Apple assets in a very short period time with no resulting user issues/complaints. Kandji is a huge improvement over our former solution and has helped us enforce our endpoint compliance framework requirements and quickly adapt to changing needs.
As part of the initial implementation we integrated Kandji with our user directory and identity provider which greatly simplified the deployment and overall solution management. We also integrated Kandji easily with our chat-ops solution to quickly notify our security team of any anomolous events.
Modifying Kandji Blueprints and Library items is very straightforward and the resulting changes are quickly deployed to our endpoints thereby allowing us to easily customize our environment and respond to changing requirements.
We later choose to implement the Kandji EDR solution as well. It seamlissly integrated with Kandji MDM and was a vast improvement over our former solution. Thus far there have only been a few false positivies. Most of the EDR findings were true positives and the resulting remediation improved the security posture for our endpoints.
Our Kandji Customer Success Manager and the Support staff have always been extremely responsive to our companies needs and questions. They have striven to ensure our company is treated more like a partner than just a customer.
Thus far we have experienced no major issues with Kandji. The few minor questions and issues experienced were quickly answered and/or resolved when we submitted tickets.
If I had to find one thing to nitpick, I'd like to see more verbosity in the library item change logs details the specifics of changes made.
Our company must conform to multiple compliance frameworks (e.g. SOC and PCI). Kandji and it's integration with our security compliance platform Secureframe help maintain our compliance requirements and the security posture of our endpoints.
The overall ease of use compared to the competition. Having experience with Jamf, coming to a company where Kandji was already implemented was a dream come true. While the system as a whole may not be as powerful on the micro level and Jamf the macro is all you have to work about because Kandji takes care of the rest for you. The blueprint system is fantastic and on top of device management from the software perspective it doubles as a place to manage activity by department. I could really go on about how much easier it makes my life but give a try for yourself, you won't be disappointed.
It isn't really a huge issue for us but I could see how the price may cause some complications for smaller businesses or companies entering into the world of an MDM bringing a lot of devices with them. Beyond that it's a very solid product with fantastic support behind it.
Resource management (hardware), employee onboarding/offboarding, departmental updates to apps for different use cases and assistance to our support department for faster ticket investigations and fixes.

Kandji is simple and easy to use. Flexible setup for admins and helps us easily enforce soc2 type2 controls among the company. It allows us to easily streamline apps and controls among users so we can easily reissue computers and securely setup new computers.
If you use another mdm prior to transitioning it can be a bit annoying if there are hiccups with issues uninstalling the previous mdm
MDM management to help us meet soc2 type2 controls and easily standardize on applications and login flows w/ Okta
I have been using Kandji for about 3 years and it continues to be easy to use for an admin while also providing the best digital experience for the end user. Kandji's agent is built with a modern UI and contains all of the necessary information with notifications for end users to complete application and OS updates seamlessly. Deploying and updating custom applications with Kandji is seamless even when needing to add pre-install and post-install scripts for macOS.
The Kandji Self Service app library is amazing and was quickly adopted by our Apple end users. For macOS, the auto app library managed by the Kandji teams is incredible and saves our admins so much time with application packaging and update management. I'm really happy to see how large the auto app library is and that the Kandji team continues to grow it for its customers! It is a game-changing feature for my team.
Implementation was seamless and enrollments are easy when integrated with Apple Business Manager.
Their customer support is amazing and it's easy to get in touch with a support agent via their chat from the admin console. If you're looking for the best-in-class MDM for Apple products, Kandji is the one.
Honestly, there is nothing I can think of to dislike about Kandji. The Kandji team has truly designed and continues to improve an incredible product.
Kandji solves the security issue of protecting our Apple devices by allowing our team to restrict certain OS features, enforce encryption, etc while also keeping our Apple devices configured with a company-wide standard which gives our employees the best experience. With the Kandji MDM, our IT team can easily support all Apple devices in our environment.
-ease of use
-ease of implementation
-great customer support
-keeps improving with new features
-integration features
-lack of reporting features from the webUI
-simplified our device enrollment process (zero touch deployment)
-integration with Google Workspace (Passport, device assignments and group based scoping)
The simplicity of Apple device management is what first drew my attention, the ability to drill down to individual settings and completeness is what keeps us using the product.
The downside would be the lack of PC managament, I know this is not the niche they are in but if they would create a similar system for PCs I would definitely check it out.
We have numerous users at various locations and do not regularly see the device in person but once a year. This allows us to make sure teach computer is complete and secure.

The number of updates we get with Kandji makes it super fun to use and easy to manage. The layout of Kandji's library system makes it easy to build multiple blueprints, and now with scoped tags, it will be a blast designing and implementing this into our infrastructure.
Sometimes the updates don't work very well, it takes a few tries to get it to work, and sometimes this doesn't work at all. They have told me they have a dedicated team working with apple to fix this so that's nice to know!
It allows me as an IT to easily manage and deploy our Apple products with many tools. They manage updates with auto apps and support an Employee portal, so I don't have to be around for them to install applications already approved by our security team. The UI works very well and is super easy to use. The Library page functions like legos allowing me to pick and choose items that can apply to multiple or just one blueprint.
